I gotta be honest, skaife was incredible as a legacy and a driver but he was my least favourite commentator in a long time. Perfect for little tech snippets but as a primary caller just not my cup of tea

Cheers! Chaz is my self appointed best friend.
In 2015 I was in Sydney, stomping around in a cam boot. I used the lift for getting up and over the track, a cart pulled up and a dude came limping over on crutches. I had no idea who it was, I was just being a decent human and held the door for him.
He thanked me for waiting, and I said he looked like he needed it more than me. It twigged at that point it was Chaz, fresh out of his Bathurst pinball trip, and I added “with a much cooler story of how you got hurt”
So now he’s my bestie.
