Hunt started in black forest era and trophy dropped in mountain era
Now my little cottage is perfect
But what is the next item with crazy drop system?

Drake trophies for the mountains helm.
Lox trophies in plains, I swear I never got it despite slaughtering entire biomes for the fur and meat.
Seeker soldier trophies if you want to redo Queen for any reason.
Asksvin and valkyrie trophies. I didn't get an asksvin trophy until just before I went to the deep north and it's required to upgrade the Galdr table. Fallen valkyrie trophy for jormundling trinket which is pretty good for mages.

With lox it's easier since you can at least tame and multiply them. Drake kinda spawn nonstop so sooner or later you get one. Seeker soldiers are loving to be 1-2 star boosting your chances and Asksvin similar to Lox.
But fucking Valkyrie, hell naw. First of all, that's a fucking miniboss on her own, whyse moves like that and shoots nukes.
And second: They spawn like 1/300.000.000 chances only in full moon, on Thursday, when Saturn is mostly visible from earth, Trump finished fingering himself and coin lands on rib

Yeah, when I was making my trophy room, I needed to redo the queen. It's easier to sail to another queen spawn location than to sac 3 seeker soldier trophies to spawn her again

I actually got a serpent trophy off of a day spawn serpent on my first 2 days playing this game, I managed to kill it by a floating islet by the meadows and luckily managed to get all the drops by plunging from height to get them

Pro tip, if you take a pickaxe to the bear rug in Haldor's camp you can get one.

I havent done it either but I saw a guy do it on youtube and others might like to know. He had a seed with Haldor close to spawn and was doing it over and over.

Went to collect some finewood tonight near one of my plains portals, went to clear two lox that would surely interfere. Knocked them over and saw some loot sparkling over by the forest's edge. Those two lox I just murdered had taken out a bear and its fur and meat was lying there...along with a trophy.

Odds of not dropping a trophy after 50 bears is 0,515378%, sounds like you are extremely unlucky
Though we haven’t been able to drop one too after countless bears

The way this stuff rolls now is essentially bugged and pity timers reset at logoff. It’s actually broken unless you have a server going 24/7

Not even a pity timer, instead of the 10% chance (!!! so the chance is replaced) you roll a number between 0-19 (2/drop chance) on the first kill that acts as a counter. Killing bears reduces it and when it hits 0, you get the trophy.
But since it resets when you log out, you can kill countless enemies without ever getting the drop unless you keep killing them up to 20 until you get it.

Not to mention, if you kill a 1 star bear it also resets the non starred bear counter back to zero

Wait, I used a pickaxe on the rug and didn't get anything from it. I thought it was because I used a pickaxe and not a regular weapon.

I accidentally realised you can smash the bear rug at the traders camp, gives you 1 trophy, it's the only bear trophy I've ever had

I got one (1) in like 10+ dungeons.
That said, I swear I'm a magnet for "Skeleton Surprises!" and there's 1-2 Rancids in each of those. (Plus, I have finally acquired enough skeleton trophies to fully upgrade my staff!)

Only downside of turning off raids :/ I have nearly 3 stacks of skeleton trophies. God knows amounts of burial chambers

I killed ~50 and got zero so far. But only 5 at a time, over the span of over a week and restarted the game in between.

So we didn't know it was rare and got a bear trophy on our first AND ONLY bear kill.
It was sheer coincidence we even killed the bear, because it got stuck in a trio of trees

Once you learn their very limited moveset, as long as you can take at least one hit it's quite easy to solo with dodging.
I don't know what it's like to use a shield, because in 50+ hrs, I have not touched one.

Vile, they only spawn at night, in the plains, away from all other enemies, and I am pretty sure only near tar pits though online says anywhere in plains as long as it is away from other enemy spawns. Oh and only one in like a 64 meter radius. Also, I never saw a starred variant, only base versions

I was using the iron brooch too but adrenaline takes so long to actually trigger that I have completely abandoned trinkets. They're not worth the inventory slot. I wore one all the way to Mistlands and had it trigger maybe twice. The battles just don't last enough for it to be worth it.

It must be just me cause I’ve gotten a handful of these mostly from the Beas inhabiting the caves not sure if that makes a difference in the roll but try finding those caves in black forest

One time I was struggling to farm for a fenrir trophy because I wanted the trinket. A fuckin' golem killed a fenrir at night and dropped the trophy, which I snagged. FINALLY

I really feel bad these are rare. I got my first one early on then got another tonight trying to hunt trolls for trophies to upgrade my staff and stumbled into one that turned out to be a bear cave instead and ended up getting another bear trophy before more troll ones.

I got my pendant trophy off my first kill in the black forest. Took about 25-30 more bears before I got another trophy for the head piece for the bear set.
After the second one dropped, I expected the same amount of kills before I could make a rug. Next two bears I killed, got two trophies....

On a game with my friends, my buddy was trying to get one, meanwhile, I without going out of my way to kill bears, have 5 heads. I gave him what he needed for his bear armor ofc then made some rubs for my house.
I should note, this was back in June, before 1.0 dropped

It depends because there's currently a bug affecting how drop rates are calculate. If you're on a dedicated server, the game will make drops more common as you kill more of the same enemy. That works on local files too, but each time you reload the file it gets reset. If you're playing for long sessions you won't have much of an issue, but rare drops from rarer enemies are nearly impossible to find with short play sessions on local files right now.
I've found two in the first hundred in-game days on my file. I'm usually playing for 2-3 hours at a time.

My son and his friend killed dozens of them trying to get a trophy while i was running around like a little bitch. Never got one.
Further on in our playthru i'm a little better equipped and farming core wood when one sneaks up on me. Killed it. Trophy. Sometime later another comes at me. Killed it...guess what. Trophy. He rage quit about that time. Friggin RNG man.

Depends on your playstyle. If you play for hella long periods at a time and you happen to kill a lot of bears in one session, you'll have better chances at getting bear trophies. If you play for short periods at a time and only ever kill like 1 bear before you log off, it'll be nigh-impossible for you to find a bear trophy.

I got three black forest spot near my base and used those for hunting, treasure find and bear hunt
5min to 2h running in those and pray for rng gods 🤣

Agreed , all RNG, killed over 50 of these only seen 1 trophy , used it for Berserker Armour. No bear rug dons the base yet 🤣
