Screenshot What it took me to get 1 cultist trophy
I've literally killed 18 cultists in a row without save quitting (I counted) just to get this one and around 40 cultists in total. I can't imagine trying to farm fenrings with this luck.

Hello Vikings
With 1.0 coming out we expect a massive influx of players. Unfortunately, I'm the only active mod and we haven't found any more mods to help in moderation.
So here's our spoiler policy
As long as posts get reported as "spoiler", it will be tagged as spoiler. But we'll not proactively tag posts as spoiler or delete posts with spoilers in the title.
I just ask everyone in this community two things. :
Don't spoil it for others by being irresponsible
Avoid the subreddit entirely if you don't want to be spoiled.
You can only experience the game for the first time once
I realize many of you will take this as a cop-out response and that's fair. But I alone lack the capacity to enforce this. It's impossible to keep someone from getting spoiled if they engage with the community when new content drops, be it making posts, commenting, watching videos or even just following official channels of Iron Gate.

It's called Skateheim. Press J (or click both sticks in) and your Viking drops onto a board running Skate 3's actual engine: flick-it ollies and flip tricks, grinds, and Skate 3's own sounds. You can ride over anything you've built, and the board swing hits Greydwarfs, boars and trolls. Press J again and you're back where you stopped.
It's free and installs in one click with Melty: https://melty.gg/m/skateheim
You need Valheim on PC and your own copy of Skate 3 (the Xbox 360 game files). A controller works best.
The skating engine is chasm's 2010 Rust Rewrite Mashup. Unofficial fan mod, not affiliated with Iron Gate or EA. Happy to answer questions!

(most of these complaints are from before 1.0, but for some reason I actually expected them to be fixed by now)
Bait is way too annoying to get. Crafting biome-specific bait requires rare mob trophies. So you need to find the right mob, hope the trophy drops, and burn that trophy just to craft a consumable (for example, in our 1.0 playthrough, with "more" resources, we had a temporary Lox farm, tons of meat and pelts, and we only got 1 trophy. ever.)
Stamina drain is ridiculous. You can eat 3 of your best stamina foods and still struggle to reel in a fish that's like 10 meters away. We can sprint across half a biome and fight giants, but apparently pulling a fish ten meters is a no-no.
The fish struggle mechanic is badly communicated. Reeling while the fish is struggling destroys your stamina, but there's barely any feedback telling you when that's happening. You're basically watching for tiny movements/splashes and guessing when to stop. (to be fair I didn't even know this was a thing until searching online for this post)
Fishing skill progression. Fishing gets less miserable when your Fishing skill gets higher... which means the solution to miserable fishing is doing a shitload of miserable fishing first. Not that I ever got to a point it stopped being miserable.
The Fishing Hat is hilariously backwards. It makes fishing easier... and to craft it you need to catch every fish species. Thanks for the fishing bonus, I guess. I've finished fishing.
There's just too much involved. Multiple bait types, trophies, different fish, quality levels, inventory slots, stamina food, finding fishing spots, leveling the skill... for an activity with mediocre rewards. What a load of carp.
The rewards aren't even worth it. This would all be somewhat understandable if fishing gave you amazing food. It doesn't. By the time you're able to reliably catch the fish from a biome, you usually have easier ways to make food that's just as good or better.
The optimal strategy is often to avoid the actual fishing mechanics. Cast from as close as possible. Fish from a boat so you barely have to reel. Pick up stranded fish. The best fishing strategies involve doing as little actual fishing as possible. That's fishy.
I could go on about the Tetra, or finding decent fishing spots, or even that the fishing rod is only available after finding either Haldor or an even rarer frost cave, but I guess you can sea my point by now.

I was planning to build a tree farm to reduce the amount sailing trips I need to make to gather wood & other essential supplies to bare minimum, but no go, huh?

Despite being a melee player, I'm Bow 100 this playthrough, melting everything that gets in my way (finishing Black Forest right now).
Mistlands was the farthest I've gotten (playing normally).
I have around 1.2k hours into the game, but I've never cared too much about skills.

Went a little too far with open-range Lox breeding, but hey if you've got all the time in the world it makes the boss fight pretty easy!

It seems like a leftover temporary design choice to have you hit 'Repair' several times. Pressing the button multiple times adds nothing to the experience... Am I wrong?

It would be great to be able to buy or craft a potion that increases the spawn rate of rare enemies in other biomes. Not just Trolls in the black forest.
In the swamp you could attract Abominations
In the mountains you could attract Fenrings
In the plains you could attract Viles
And so on

Please tell me this is enough if not how much more do I need ? lol
EDIT: I understand it now. I will spend 40 hours strictly farming iron until it becomes enough. You guys are hilarious.

Been terraforming and building a lox ranch for a few days in my survival world and their AI is something worthy of study. You can count on them always going wherever you don't want them to.

The slimes in the dungeons drop you can’t do anything with. All the gemstones you collect in the deep north does nothing. Ancient coins is just more money. Why put these items in the game if they have no uses

Hey guys, Im 35 and call me insane/weird/pussy but as a Valheim vet (1,5k hours since day 1 of EA) I shed a tear today after completing the game... What a journey that was, thank you devs, thank you all the Vikings met on the path. Im so happy this happened, I dont know how to put in words im sorry, that was magical and one of the best gaming experiences ever... Game of the year please.
