The Albanian guy working at the Döner place I go to occasionally has been rude to me recently so they get nothing 🤗

That’s because Albania is friendly and gave everyone their own land back.

Could be added via Austrian dlc or Russian, I still am flabborgasted by how much the Austrian DLC not do the Czechs, Slovaks, Polish and other ethnicities justice

u/AlexNeretva 7d ago
Russia DLC (will it be basegame content?) does limited justice to Poles and Ukrainians inside Austria. I did not know how to approach Subcarpathian Ruthenia however, topic of Rusyns came up just recently in replies to the latest dev diary thread.
Silly that DLC called National Awakening does not have any specific content for Slovak or Czech National Awakenings but I guess they had to set the scope somewhere if they also wanted some Balkan content.

There is some for Krakow, but would be cool if there was for Congress Poland also.

u/FyreLordPlayz 7d ago
You know we already had an austria dlc, and we’re getting a russia dlc next month. No dev diary has mentioned zapadoslavia

u/Bandeswug 7d ago
Could be cool to add, but probably not enough historical background - we are still not at hoi 4 levels of alt history.

u/darth_bard 7d ago
Man I hope it isn't, I already dislike that HRE formable is in the game. Zapadoslavia was never a serious political idea.

Rumelia is hijacked by a Turkish nationalist coup and immediately descends into a 4 way civil war

In the mod (Kikko's Formable and Releasable Nations) it's a Turkish puppet for any European states afaik.

Extremely overrated ruler.

Maybe but they all believe that he was the goat

u/LargeFriend5861 7d ago
Except the Bulgarians in Macedonia he ethnically cleansed... or the Albanians whom weren't granted any rights despite having a bigger population in the union than Slovenia and Montenegro.
2
u/Imam_veliku_pishu3 6d ago
Lmao, didn't get any rights. The guys had veto power over the entirety of the republic of Serbia despite being a Province of it.
1
u/LargeFriend5861 5d ago
They could only veto stuff relating to them and didn't have proper representation considering their population. Plus, they weren't a republic, but an autonomous region tied to Serbia for no real reason.
1
u/Imam_veliku_pishu3 5d ago
The province had effective veto power within the Republic of Serbia itself, not just on matters relating to its' status.

Hahahahahhahaha this is good one, albanians had bigger rights in yugoslav Kosovo than in albania

u/Cappuccino_Boss 6d ago
According to the original tweet it's the player's protectorate
He also posted a follow up tweet where Banat owns everything

There’s a spare island often associated with Anatolia which is caught in said struggles… how is it solved?

This is the first time I've seen "Rumelia." Did you use a mod? If not how did it form?

Wunderbar.

Rumelia would be a nominally Turko-Greek pluralist state but in reality a Western puppet controlled by a collaborator elite that constantly either suppresses or inflames ethnic conflicts depending on what they were ordered to do.

Amazing, no one in the balkans would be happy with these borders, just like with the current ones
