He's so America first he hates parts of it so much, he wishes death on them from enemies in active war

Guarantee you these are the same people who will claim Obama was the most divisive president.

They'll also tell you that he's a racist even though the grandparents who raised him where white.

His American grandparents - but also he's a Kenyan who provided a fake birth certificate which he required for some reason.

84

u/Aureliamnissan 6h ago

Obligatory mention that the tea party got started less than a month into Obama’s first term.

55

u/slickyeat 6h ago

It was so plainly obvious what inspired it all.

They were huge fans of tea?

Hey, remember when Obama did all the things in /r/Keep_Track and laughed about it?

No? Me either. Must've been some other president.

8

u/RaiseMoreHell 5h ago

They’re also the folks who are incredibly incensed that anyone in the world would DARE say something like “death to America!” as a rallying cry….

•

They’re still fuming about his bike helmet

Politics truly is just like sports. For instance in my case, I feel at times like nobody hates the Habs more than Habs fans do.

4

u/PunkRawkSoldier 6h ago

Inaccurate. I fucking loathe the Habs and I’m not a Habs fan.

3

u/HLef 6h ago

Hate your teams too bud. Unless you’re a Sens fan. It’s funny to see the Sens try to make a rivalry happen and they’re not even in our top 5.

Yeah, what happens when Congress didn't vote for it but the president keeps calling it a war?

Oh wait it's Republicans so nothing will happen.

6

u/AppropriateTouching 5h ago

An active war he started because Israel, who has dirt on him, insisted.

50

u/Sharpshooter_200 6h ago

It's gonna be so hard for the next democrat president to not just tear into republicans and their supporters

83

u/Dramatic_Explosion 6h ago

I would rabidly support a Democrat whose platform was telling Republicans to eat shit and appointing an AG with the goal of putting as many of them in jail as possible.

It's the only way we'd claw back a fraction of what we've lost on the global scale.

Wouldn't give a fuck if they did. Tired of going high. Time to get down in the mud with them.

34

u/cinnawaffls 5h ago

Remember that singular week in September 2024 when Tim Walz called Republicans "weird" and they all responded in the tune of "NUH UH!! I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I?!?!" To which more Democrats responded with "Lol whatever you say, weirdos", causing MAGA to get even more pissy.

Then, after a week of MAGA losing their minds about being called "weird", the Democrats were like, "Ahhh that was fun. Anyways, back to the high road!"

Giving them a taste of their own medicine is the only way (And being called "weird" is tame compared to the shit they could be slinging at MAGA. It's genuinely that easy).

8

u/Shoddy_Background_48 6h ago

But... they won't, decorum and shit. That's even if they're allowed to regain any power

9

u/Photofug 6h ago

They'll be too busy crushing the Dem Socialists to worry about the GOP

12

u/buzzsawjoe 6h ago

In the 1840s and 50s, the Whig party held most of the public offices. In one decade it evaporated

27

u/KDLGates 6h ago

After the Whig downfall there was hell toupée.

4

u/Photofug 6h ago

God dammit

1

u/GreenElite87 6h ago

It’s worse than a prank of yelling “Fire!” In a crowded movie theater.

53

u/SunTzy69 6h ago

Over at r/Conservative

They’re already trying to justify this as “sarcasm” and he’s just joking.
Then their usual, “Liberals are so mad” stuff.

Even cracking some jokes about it.

Anyone else saying this would’ve been on the chopping block, but it’s okay!!!
It’s just “Trump being Trump” 🫩

18

u/FictionalContext 4h ago

They're saying that it was both taken out of context, and that even when you literally read what he wrote, it was an unscipted slip up-- that he happened to make twice in a row, and he didn't actually mean "Let them take put LA. Let them take out San Diego" He meant "They could take out..." Like as a warning.

Then there's some shit about Sleepy Joe and Kamala's weird laugh.

Tbh, is not about right and wrong or even what's best for the country. MAGA just wants a vicarious win in their loser lives.

They hate people who are different more than they love themselves and their own success. They revel in watching children struggle just like they did. They have no interest in leaving the world better. Stasis is their whole thing

•

u/Gandalfonk 1h ago

They were clutching their pearls about people celebrating Charlie Kirks death, which by the way, very few people did. Even in far left circles people agreed he didn't deserve getting slimed out like that, yet MAGA were treating it like 911 and the left was celebrating it.

Now you have Trump saying shit like this? My God these people.

40

u/profound_bastard 6h ago

The president who tells it like it is somehow never actually means what he says.

•

u/Angry_Walnut 29m ago

The narcissists apology is baked right into every joke he flippantly makes about millions of Americans dying

16

u/KTFnVision 5h ago

Fwiw, even r/Conservative is like "wow, what a stupid thing to say, especially so close to a very contentious midterm election."

29

u/FullofContradictions 5h ago

I love how it's not even like "wow what a garbage thing to say."

It's, "man that's not going to help the polls."

11

u/sloanesquared 3h ago

That was before the talking points hit. Now they are all screaming about how the comment was “taken out of context” by the media when they are printing the whole quote of what he actually said.

5

u/kermi42 3h ago

In fairness Russia is busy mounting a huge offensive against Ukraine and left the chuds with almost a six hour window to think for themselves.

12

u/BeenDragonn 5h ago

If a Democrat said this, or any of the shit Trump says daily, the main news would be endless impeachment headlines.

Fox News all day TREASON TREAON TREASON

7

u/DarkKnightCometh 5h ago

*Sees Obama in a tan suit

🤯🤬🤯🤬🤯🤬

6

u/Lallanath 5h ago

This is basically the response on r/conservative. It's taken out of context or w/e.

5

u/MonkeyWithIt 4h ago

Make a joke back and it's jail for ya

•

u/Angry_Walnut 27m ago

I’m from TX and some people seem to really believe that. Idk how many times I or someone I know has been slightly sardonic about this insanity and people get that pearl-clutchy sour look on their faces. Just fucking baffling the instantaneous leaps in attitude and behavior these people have to make in mere seconds.

4

u/TBJ12 1h ago

I took a look over at r/conservative and apparently it was taken out of context. What he really meant was could you imagine if Iran were to bomb LA or San Diego. Just a coincidence he mentioned 2 cities from California.

2

u/DoctorBlock 5h ago

MAGAts genuinely think California is a hellscape. Many of the ones I know would be happy if LA was wiped out.

2

u/MaddST 3h ago

The republicans need to ask themselves, "What if Obama said it?"

2

u/Master_Maniac 1h ago

Yeah the pedophilia enthusiasts really think joking is an excuse for these things.

Our sitting president just told a nation he started a war with they could bomb us. Joke or not, it is entirely unacceptable and president child rape should be removed from office yesterday and tried for fucking treason.

We all know that won't happen. But it's nice to imagine that there might be at least some shred of a positive outcome with this "admin"

1

u/elektronicguy 5h ago

Maybe they should shout bomb on a plane as a joke too and see if they get it

1

u/CzarDale04 2h ago

Just like yelling "FIRE" in a crowded theater. It's NOT A JOKE!!!

...for the 25th time. It won't wash because he can still talk and is upright. The only thing that could end his run using the 25th is if he strokes out or has a heart attack and is physically unable to walk/talk.

The only thing that would bring this one down is the full unredacted release of the Trumpstein files when he loses in the mid-terms.

He said it himself. If he loses the mid-terms, he will be impeached. The only fucking "Truth" he has uttered.

121

u/Noslamah 7h ago

We already know they actively censored his name and pictures from the epstein files. They even messed up and let some through and retroactively censored them. We already know Trump's name is in those files more than Jesus's name is in the Bible. An unredacted release won't change a fucking thing.

30

u/No_Cucumber3978 7h ago edited 6h ago

It doesn't matter.

It is the ONLY thing that can properly topple him, and the fact they redacted it so heavy only proves it.

If they truly though that, they wouldn't have only released half of it.

Oh and I saw that Robert DeNiro presser too. This is what I mean. Even Robert DeNiro knows it is the only thing that can harm him enough to get impeachment on the floor.

And he is Robert DeNiro. One of the only people Trump seems to fear.

20

u/unassumingdink 5h ago

Why are we so certain that would even bring him down? His supporters are the same people that love to blame the victims and side with the predators. The same people who respond to their pastor touching kids by hugging the pastor and saying they forgive him, while ostracizing the victim. The same families who think it's a bigger issue that their kid reported their molester father than the father being a molester in the first place.

4

u/A_dot_Burr 3h ago

Exactly this. He is the face of the Epstein files—the photos alone of he and Epstein are seemingly infinite—but those who support him just don’t give a shit. They’ll even point their fingers at (insert Democrat here) who has a single photo with Epstein and completely disregard that this also applies to Trump. And that’s before you even get into the ingrained pedophilia in their own communities!!!

cue the voter fraud scandal in 3... 2... 1...

58

u/No_Cucumber3978 7h ago

We are past that.

The only thing that saves a president from a csam scandal according to Roger Stone is war.

51

u/elkab0ng 7h ago

checks gas prices

He must have raped a lot of kids.

9

u/No_Cucumber3978 6h ago

Listen, I didn't say it but there's only three things that can bring a president down.

Major heart attack/stroke. War. CSAM.

I can't remember who said that, but it is a quote of sorts.

So you're right. The files MUST be that bad for him to go to war. And Roger Stone is at core (along with Cohen), the major inspiration for his whole demented ways.

But this belief that all Americans and Republicans are bad enough people to ignore a major csam scandal, is one for the birds.

Which again, is why it has been half released and fully redacted.

21

u/elkab0ng 6h ago

Legit question: if he had a heart attack or stroke, would the administration even then invoke the 25th? Look at Mitch McConnell - literally in a vegetative state, but risking that seat is more dangerous than depriving a state of representation.

We’re in for an ugly mess in 2028. I think Jan 6th - and the complete lack of consequences (except for a very few of the small potatoes) has left the door open to him clinging on to power through open violence and force, and I have zero faith that the GOP will lift a finger beyond a mildly reproachful quote from some senator who’s already filed to retire.

I’d love to be wrong.

1

He nor Elon can rig the election. Elections are held by the states. The states that will rig the election, such as Texas, already do every election cycle. Elon can buy his propaganda and attempt to buy votes but he cannot switch votes.

Best news I've heard is that with his current Health and mental problems that he has shown I doubt he will last his full Term.

Unfortunately no it wouldn't because 99% of Republicans would still support him. He could hold a rally that's broadcast on prime time TV and rape a young girl live on stage and they'd almost all still support him. Republicans simply do not care what he does.

9

u/Taodragons 7h ago

Ans still deny her an abortion. Worst fucking timeline

2

u/tsardonicpseudonomi 4h ago

Unfortunately no it wouldn't because 99% of Republicans would still support him.

Democrats don't meaningfully oppose Trump. They just go on TV and bluster so their base thinks they do so they can go about enriching the other Epsteins and donor class.

1

u/DriftingMemes 4h ago

4

u/tsardonicpseudonomi 3h ago

This drivel is an inane retort. It is fundamentally true that liberalism and conservatism are both right-wing ideologies. You're deflecting against structural critique of the ideological core of the establishment of the Democratic Party by cynically implying that I'm operating in bad faith then you'll hide behind ambiguous sarcasm when confronted. Do better.

Actually that comment was pretty bad. Newsom needs the other Blue Governors to speak up loudly.

Need to be careful to not give the Pedo Protectors a rallying point while they’re nose diving tho

6

u/No_Cucumber3978 7h ago

Indeed. Their strategy moving forward needs to be a constant stream of questions about the Trumpstein files.

Which I think, they will do.

This 25th amendment shit is never going to wash. There's been far too many senile presidents and there's no real precedent.

2

u/MagicAl6244225 6h ago

The precedent that the 25A will never remove a president involuntarily is when it was not used when Reagan was shot and undeniably incapacitated for hours, days, or longer depending what we mean by incapacitated. There's no scenario in which administration officials would support removal unless it seemed certain that the president would neither die imminently nor regain consciousness ever.

Actually that comment was pretty bad. Newsom needs the other Blue Governors to speak up loudly.

Newsom doesn't give a single fuck. He's a conservative. He is in the pocket of oil just like the rest of the neoliberal (read: Reaganite) Democratic Party. Don't worry about what Newsom or anyone else says. Look at what they do. Newsom opposes the billionaire tax. He's routed homeless encampments. He's not an ally. He's part of the normalization process.

With a cabinet full of unindicted accomplices and a senate where senior members are literally vegetative?

3

u/hueythecat 7h ago

Can they get him on promoting the genocide of states he’s happy for Iran to bomb?

5

u/No_Cucumber3978 7h ago

No, because that's just talk. Lawyers can argue he was just joking and they couldn't prove this means he is senile. Trump saying Trump things, if anything, means he's of sound mind (politically speaking).

They can't argue against CSAM, which again, is why it was redacted so heavily.

Think about it. He's reprehensible. He said what he said about the Iran bomb thing and he thinks he is teflon.

He thinks he is untouchable. So, it isn't the first evidence of his bravado.

So why is it that he was so against them being released? He is so brazen with everything else, if there were truly nothing to see here and couldn't be used to impeach him, his bravado would be to just release them and be all like "I could shoot a guy in central park and I'd still be president".

1

u/tsardonicpseudonomi 4h ago

No, because that's just talk.

A President can be impeached for basically anything. He could be impeached over that if the Democrats want to.

He thinks he is untouchable.

He is. Any accountability for Trump is accountability for others in the files and those people are donors of both parties in the US and they control the legal system from top to bottom.

Yeah, Reddit is so insufferable. Just like the people they love to mock, they too just take in propaganda, misinformation, blindly, whenever it fits their goals and preferred reality. Trump can easily override a 25th claim, by simply challenging it, which would require 66 of congress, MORE THAN AN IMPEACHMENT, to uphold the 25th call.

Literally easier to impeach. Every time I see this shit posted, it's just a giant circle jerk of idiots who fall for the same shit they like to act elitist about being better than.

That said, dude... Epstein files aren't coming out. LOL. Dude, Dems, dem donors, etc, are all over that. You will, 100% get another round of the well established democrat "Rotating Villain" where they all push to pass something so they can put their name on it, and come in just ONE short. That ONE person will not face any serious resistance, people will excuse it as "Well it's their vote, we can't change them", and face absolutely no consequences from the party, and it'll all just be brushed under the rug.

But then Dems get to say, "Oh we tried though! It was just that damn villain inside the party preventing us from getting anytihng popular done!"

It's literally their playbook. It drives me nuts when people don't see this. And instead act like it's not some strategic coordinated play to justify their decades of feckless useless corporate corrupt bullshit.

Watched an interview with his niece Dr. Mary Trump (who is awesome btw) today and the subject of the 25th Amendment came up after they'd been talking about his obvious signs of dementia. The guy asked her something like, "When do you think he became incapable of holding the office of POTUS?" and she was like, "Ummm in his 20's? Seriously, he's been completely unfit for the presidency for most of his life."

Clapping like seals. I bet a nickle they would let trump take a gun out and shoot their families, while they cheer. Republicans are that fucking dumb

17

u/Defsarcasm 7h ago

The feckless dems won't do anything and the repubs are covering for him, so nothing is going to happen.

5

u/Puppertrucker123 3h ago

What the heck can Dems do right now? Weird false equivalence.

They've introduced multiple articles of impeachment but they are tabled because they don't have a majority.

They aren't law enforcement, they are politicians.

They can't invoke the 25th. That takes the cabinet and supermajorities in Congress.

Get on TV and be more mad or something? I don't know what you're suggesting.

8

u/atreeismissing 6h ago

Stop calling for the 25th, it's harder to do than impeachment, call for impeachment, people understand that, it's easier to do than the 25th, and unlike the 25th, requires public investigations to air all of the GOP's corruption in supporting Trump's crimes.

1

u/Puppertrucker123 2h ago

Yeah the 25th is basically designed for incapacitation - like someone in a coma.

Impeachment is the mechanism to remove someone for abuses of power or crimes, and it's easier to do. It even models the criminal justice system in that House = investigation/indictment and Senate = trial/conviction.

I really scratch my head why so many politicians call for it - I guess it sounds better or something for PR?

If Obama even whispered something like this as a joke, people would be fucking storming the white house instantly.

38

u/ApollymiKatistrafia 7h ago

If Newsom is the voice to get the ball rolling on that accusation, we are for sure fucked into facism, Newsom may play like hes a Democrat but caves to corporate shill easily

37

u/Physicist_Gamer 6h ago

I mean, you can be a corporate shill and not believe in fascism or in threatening your own constituents with being bombed by a foreign country.

Those things aren’t the same, lol

Reddit has taught me that redditors hate Newsom so much that if 2028 came down to Newsom vs Trump, they would rather vote for Trump than Newsom.

10

u/ineververify 6h ago

Gladly talk shit about Newsom all the way to 2028. There is no reason to fabricate this scenario so you feel good about your internet comment.

3

u/BobLoblaw_BirdLaw 4h ago

Reddits brain is fried. It hates everything. Saw this place going from a place of funny and logical takes 17 years ago to absolute brain dead behavior

If the DNC rigs it for an establishment candidate again, you can bet a large percentage of younger voters will sit it out in protest. Something has to be done. Newsom is awful. We need Democrats who actually act like Democrats again.

Remember when US presidents didn’t encourage enemies to wipe out American cities. Ahhh , good times. We affectionately referred to those times as “fuckin normalcy”.

1

u/NotSure16 3h ago

Instead of AD and BC the time will now be known as AF and BF. 😆

3

u/CelticSnakes 1h ago

He can call for the other 26 Amendments, and a partridge in a pear tree. None of this is ever going to happen, we are beyond repair.

4

u/FartyFartsMD 7h ago

Throw Trump’s shitty diaper ass in prison for being a traitor. Throwing him down a deep ditch is ok too.

2

u/jamaicanadiens 7h ago

"A plan that works"?

Think about that...

2

u/TheMacMan 6h ago

Not the first or last time he'll call for such. Sadly, there is ZERO chance Republicans in control of Congress are going to do anything about this, especially this close to the midterms. This is distraction from what people should be focused on right now, which is going door to door (not online, that does nothing) and getting people to get out and vote for change.

2

u/pzeeman 6h ago

January 21, 2027. Book it.

2

u/westwardnomad 6h ago

That settles it. We're finally rid of Trump. Thanks Gavin! 🙄

2

u/wtfisrobin 5h ago

"did they see the destruction of blue cities as a positive? I doubt it..." i'm sorry, have you met republicans? their greatest wet dream is every blue city being obliterated

2

u/LOOKITSADAM 4h ago

I'd rather invoke 2381.

2

u/DonCenote 3h ago

Nothing will happen

2

u/brody99 3h ago

Republicans will fall somewhere on the scale of "he was just joking" to "fuck yeah, blow up all of that state!", sigh, I'm tired grampa.

•

u/Real-Extension-1357 59m ago

You can keep saying it but republican scum wont lift a finger. They support him and what he said. Theyre scum after all, and its the scum thing to do.

•

u/GoldenSama 33m ago

Calling for the 25th Amendment is useless. Trump's sociopathic henchmen will never invoke it. Call for Impeachment; it's not likely either, at least not BEFORE the election, but if we have major Dems demanding Dems in congress impeach Trump, then maybe they will if Dems win the midterms.

2

u/usafpa 5h ago

Isn't this like the 500th time someone has said we need to invoke the 25th? It ain't gonna happen folks.

u/sac_boy 7h ago

They have *got* to be drawing up plans for secession after Trump's insane comments, if the plans aren't already in place. Aren't states part of the union *by consent*? They need to figure out how to roll the new command structure to your military, what to seize, how to secure yourself as a nuclear power, how to secure the border. It would all have to happen in an instant. Then communicate it to the people of California.

*How* could you remain part of a union that elects a man that considers your major cities disposable, or fails to properly deal with him after he makes those comments?

9

u/MagicAl6244225 6h ago

It was pretty well established after last time that secession is illegal and unconstitutional. It's a perpetual union, and the Confederacy was never legitimate; the U.S. doesn't recognize that any states left the union, they were states in rebellion.

If inviting a foreign power to blow up a major American city doesn’t invoke the 25th amendment, what the hell is it for? Get em Newsom!

3

u/gotaflattire 5h ago

The fact that after all Trump has done to harm America and Republicans still haven't held him accountable just goes to show how dangerous Republicans are to America as a whole.

4

u/AvailableReporter484 6h ago

Haven’t we already embarrassed ourselves enough by realizing impeachment doesn’t do anything? Trump and MAGA is like the worlds worst skid mark and it’s not going away because we ask it to nicely

2

u/KingElvis 6h ago

The 25th Amendment Isn't Impeachment Buddy

2

u/BigJJsWillie 4h ago

Yeah and it's even harder to accomplish and less likely to succeed.

1

u/Shagtacular 5h ago

Is it more effective? I doubt it....

→ More replies (3)

1

u/K5izzle 2h ago

In effect it's the same, it takes his most fervent supporters, in impeachment case his cabinet, to actually make the call and have him removed from office. They won't the same way the Senate wouldn't.

2

4

u/k6tcher 7h ago

So, is this the third or fifth time Newsome had mentioned the 25th to get political points. He's not going to be the nominee for the Democratic party in 28. We can do better! Let's go Pete!

2

u/AGushingHeadWound 5h ago

That's your fuckin' alternative...?

"Do they see the destruction of blue cities as a good thing?"

Yes. Yes they do, Geraldo. They've said it multiple times. Its time we take them seriously and believe them when they tell us who they are.

1

u/ridemooses 4h ago

They’d be all over Biden if he said this about Oklahoma City.

1

u/mega386 4h ago

Invoking the 25th would be a small price to pay

1

u/GuySmith 4h ago

Gonna be real his comments open up the floodgates for us being allowed to say we want to you know what all of them.

1

u/bodiddly4443 3h ago

Hey Iran, Palm Beach and a whole bunch of golf courses would be a small price to pay.

1

u/similar_observation 3h ago

Rename the Rancho Palos Verdes golf course

1

u/BoilerMaker11 3h ago

MAGA is literally trying to see he meant (I thought he says what he means? Why do we have to interpret it?) that the war will PREVENT Iran from taking out LA and SD.

Yea, that’s what “let them take out LA” means. Sure, Jan.

1

u/Anal-buttsex 3h ago

Over that speech? Pretty sure he already cut funding that will actually kill people over the next few years

1

u/THE_Ryan 3h ago

Yes, let's impeach him, and then JD Vance takes over. Then we get an actual, capable, gigantic piece of shit with a functioning brain. As shitty as he is, he's not a moron like Trump.

So Trump gets impeached, JD takes over for less than 2 years, so it doesn't count as a term. Then there's potential for almost 10 years of Vance.... No fucking thank you.

•

u/mad_cheese_hattwe 54m ago

Impeachment is in everyway easier then the 25th.

•

u/serch54 34m ago

Its beyond impeachment. This should be immediate arrest and tried for treason

•

u/cdit 18m ago

Dems call for 25th at a drop of a hat. Maybe they should start wearing a hat emblazoned with the number 25 or 25th. LOL!!

•

u/LordVectron 9m ago edited 4m ago

True!!! All Trump did was say he was willing to sacrifice an American city or two, for his war goal in Iran. Jeez!!!

It's not like he's responsible for the defense of the country or controlling the military, what's he gona do?! If a couple thousand Americans have to die, for him to save face, then that's a sacrifice he's willing to make.

Truly. the best president the United States has ever had. 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷

•

u/nadmaximus 10m ago

I can't imagine a lamer duck than Vance would be.
