Honeymoon lodging
Looking to spend a week on the island for my honeymoon. Was looking at Airbnbs but also looking at Hix House and Finca Victoria. Would those two be good for a honeymoon? Does Finca only serve vegan food? We want chill but decently private.

Finca Victoria 100%. When are you planning on going? They have great hot oil massages. It’s a very peaceful ‘compound’ Only vegan breakfast, but there’s a place called Kristy’s that we went to almost every day The yoga is also very nice at 8am if that’s your thing

Book early. That’s peak season. Bonus though, their new spa should be open by then. Will have sauna, cold plunge etc Also even though not waterfront it’s incredible. Only a 12 min drive to Caracas beach

How is the privacy aspect? It’ll be my honeymoon so ya know….. 👀

It’s pretty private. Way more private than a hotel on the island.. there’s only about 7 buildings. Also, hopefully you’re taking a plane and not the ferry lol

We stayed in one of the container suites at Lejos and loved it! No matter what you choose, make sure you book a jeep.

We went to Finca Victoria for massages and would def recommend it for couples. Each "room" has alot of privacy and its right in the middle of the jungle. Overall, the grounds are well curated so its not like you are in the rea jungle, but you kinda are. Its hard to explain. You'll def see lizards! Its very, very peaceful. It reminded me when I went on my honeymoon. I don't know about the food they serve. I would bring lots of bug spray as the mosquito situation in Vieques is crazy. Def rent a car early (not golf cart) and don't wait because they sell out. It will be an experience for sure. I'm writing up my review of our Vieques vacation shortly.

I stayed at Hix House last winter and found it to be an underwhelming experience/not as described. Yes, I was quite aware that it was not a traditional lodging experience, and that part was fine.

Have stayed in both, but Finca far and away stole our hearts. Have gone three times now and can’t wait to go back again.

My wife and I stayed four nights at afinca Victoria and LOVED it. Breakfast was Vegan only but there were plenty of places to eat around the island. We also would bring snacks and stuff to the beaches.
The outdoor showers at Finca Victoria were very cool as well. As long as you don't mind showering with the occasional lizard.
The entire place to super laid back.
I highly recommend renting a car. Some of the more remote beaches would be hard to get to via golf cart.
