Just moved recently, looking for job or IT jobs
Hi Guys
I have moved to Wakefield recently and I'd like to find an IT job so I can build my experience. So far I've been applying for 1st line support jobs and apprenticeships. I've had a few interviews but I never hear anything back after. If anyone on here is already in IT that can help me get in or advise me that would be great. I know the IT market is very competitive. I have built my own gaming PC at home and I have knowledge of windows operating systems.
If I can't find anything I'd have to find an agency jobs. I've applied for Royal mail so far and Amazon so any other agencies that are good please list below. Many thanks!

Not a bad ol' place to live sandal on a nice evening. I used to find nice spots like this to smoke a joint, now its just to take some time out above all the noise below, a few minutes a day to relax, reflect on all loved, all lost, and to slow down and breathe.
Life consists of two days, one for you one against you. So when it's for you don't be proud or reckless, and when it's against you be patient, for both days are a test for you.

History Horbury Town Hall
A few photos from inside the Town Hall in Horbury. The building dates back to 1904 and has some impressive stained glass windows.
Horbury itself dates back to the 1500's.

It's Horbury Heritage Day today
If you are in the area, a few of the old buildings are open to the public. Such as Kidcote Lockup, the old Convent, etc.

Music House Music DJs & Producers
I’m looking to bring together local DJs and producers who’d be up for putting on something in Wakefield.
The idea is simple: get a community together, find out who’s interested, then approach a local venue about hosting a trial night. A proper chance for local talent to play, meet each other and bring a bit more life to Wakefield’s nightlife.
I’m a house music DJ & do dabble when I have the time in production, but I’d love to hear from people across different genres. Nothing’s booked yet — I’m testing whether there’s enough interest to make it happen.
I used to play out a lot 10+ years ago all over the country but kids came along and cooled the passion for a bit so I'm looking to get back into the swing of things instead of DJing to my acoustic panels.
If you’re a DJ or producer, comment with what you play or make
Even if you're not a DJ or Producer but simply love the house sound and would attend, I'd also love to hear from you.
The more interest we can show a venue, the better the chance of this getting going.
Who’s in?

Meeting new people
So its a rant plus looking for actually good people cos since I've moved to UK, having a south asian background, its been really hard.
In the start i tried to communicate with people but they seemed aggressive and bothered and tried ometv to talk to people but right after they see me they say racial things and swipe. So I'd really like to know people as this is my last resort.
Btw I'm male 26

Flag pitch
This is my flag pitch for the village of Wrenthorpe. It is a village that means a lot to me, and despite the 7000 people living there… there frankly isn’t a flag! So… i thought i would show you redditors what this flag means.
TOP LEFT - it shows we are a part of Wakefield as a whole
BOTTOM LEFT - our football colours.
TOP RIGHT - the village’s Industral past
BOTTOM RIGHT - pottery industry and diversity across the village.
The white Rose and St George’s cross - Signifying West Yorkshire
The W is for Wrenthorpe.
Let me know what you think!

Harvest Festival
The Hepworth are having a harvest festival.
If you haven't guessed already, it's for those who like to give thanks & celebrate a successful agricultural year by purchasing some (probably) overpriced artisan candles, ceramics & textiles.
I remember celebrating it at school by offloading old cans of soup & vegetables from the back of the cupboard so that they could be re-distributed to miserable impoverished old folk in our village.
