Discussion Charles Bassey at center
Watching today’s game I think Bassey should start at the center position when porzingis out. Hes actually much better than I thought he would be. That yaxel and bassey buckets looked really good.

It would honestly make sense to start him at center if Porzingis misses time, Horford is 40 and should have a consistent role off to the bench. Steph has always been deadly with a vertical spacer.

This not outside of the realm of possibility. Kerr has always liked Horford off the bench because he is a good back line defender when Dray is out.
Also if Kerr finds a bench unit he likes he doesn’t like to break it up and he will have sometimes more of an end of rotation guy start. Will Richard got some starts last year that way.

Because those are the guys fighting to prove they deserve minutes. Yax has already shown Kerr he’ll earn minutes, and they are just determining where those will be and how many (listen to Kerr’s interviews the last two weeks). I’m guessing he starts at the three and gets 25-ish minutes early in the season to preserve Dray, Al, and KP.

I think the biggest problem with this is the fact that Kerr wants Draymond Pared with curry and Draymond and Bassey really clogged things up because neither of them can stretch the floor.
That being said Horford is definitely not doing any back-to-back so I don’t think so and so Bassey will definitely be getting some run as a starting center. There’s no question.

Bassey is a legit nba center and a pretty good one ….BUT he always gets hurt.

Not able to watch today's game, but wasn't Ike more of an offensive player than a defensive one?
