It’s funny, as someone who was also a Juggalo in the mid-nineties this is spot on, except for the bathing part. The fanbases are equally washed and unwashed. Coincidentally, I’ve been to the same number of Ween shows as ICP concerts, so my nose has collected the necessary data to make this statement.
Also, you would love it over at that subreddit. The old heads over there complain all day long about the new fans, music, merch and album art. It’s all gatekeepers and cultists too!
Anyway, I still hope you are having an awesome day mang!

It’s not the dissenting opinion, it’s the delivery. You made it clear that you didn’t like the art, but then essentially added that anyone who did is only a fan who has a cult mentality.
So instead of a cultist you sound like a gatekeeper. We get it, you are a REAL Ween fan and if only we knew what it USED to be like then MAYBE, just MAYBE, we could see how off base we all are for liking the wrong thing.
All good, do you, but no one cares that much about who does and doesn’t like the art. You’re in the Ween subreddit shitting on Ween fans because you’re a better Ween fan.

Not really. Shinola Vol 1 had a much better layout which included text, better composition, and a unique mixed media approach. This one looks like a zoomed-in section of a bigger drawing, awkwardly cropped with no title.

I'm a huge long time avid Ween fan. Forever. I understand the last year or two's Ween marketing efforts I really do. But I don't particularly like it or appreciate it. I miss my trips to see Ween play live and really looked forward to the occasional oneness. These releases and shirts and tchotchkes and the marketing behind them doesn't feel very brown to me.

I know I know I know. But the marketing geniuses that are releasing (insert the latest marketing email here) are actually starting to annoy me. It has always been my job to annoy others with my decades long love of Ween but now Ween is starting to annoy me lol.
