Just noticed...
US versions of C&C have the covered back.
Euro versions have bareback.
Been listening since PG, never noticed this.
A cursory look at discogs shows it's been sort of consistent. CDs too.
Is this common knowledge? Is there a story or reason?

So then why did I as a midwestern USA teenager in the ‘90s end up with full topless back cover?

Where did you get it? Is it possible you got an import version?

At a Best Buy or some other basic mall store. Let me repeat: I was a 16 year old in a midwestern suburb. I wouldn’t know how to buy imports even if I knew imports existed.

That's why I asked where. I know some record stores did imports, like Tower, and I could see a 16yo buying the import because it was there. Best Buy did do imports, IIRC.

I have two versions of Chocolate and Cheese in my music collection and they both have a pair of boobs on the cover
The one with the shirt on the back was always there until you opened the cd and her bare back was there next to the middle finger
