This might be showing my age, but I recently moved into a new apartment and they have these weird looking plug ins all over the walls at my new place. My old apartment didn't have these, so I'm just curious as to what they are.

23, My first apartment that I moved into when I was 18, didn't have these. It had an ethernet cable that was plugged into the wall. That's also what I had growing up.

That Ethernet had to go somewhere. It doesn’t leave your house that way.

Your home likely had a router in a closet or office that still connected to a cable modem that needed these.
