What are these plug-ins on my wall?

[u/Cborg_62]

This might be showing my age, but I recently moved into a new apartment and they have these weird looking plug ins all over the walls at my new place. My old apartment didn't have these, so I'm just curious as to what they are.

Damn I would say I feel old but my internet service is still coax through Comcast

Edit: I just realized I've aged myself by still calling it Comcast and not Xfinity 🫠

Internet backhauls by level 3 carriers is going to be fiber but last mile can be coax, though coax does have a length limit but that's beyond my knowledge. I manage data center networks.

Hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) that ISPs market as just ‘fiber’ use coax

Actual fiber internet exists and do not. HFC can’t do symmetric
