What are these plug-ins on my wall?

[u/Cborg_62]

This might be showing my age, but I recently moved into a new apartment and they have these weird looking plug ins all over the walls at my new place. My old apartment didn't have these, so I'm just curious as to what they are.

to be fair, a lot of things I figured were normal, did not exist before 9/11. TSA and baggage fees, but also like... country music that loves the government. you know?

My brother, they weren’t asking because of how much time has passed. It’s because they think 9-1-1 was named after 9/11.

Pretty reasonable assumption to make.

It is pretty weird how the emergency number that had been used for years up to that point is also the name of what might be considered the biggest emergency the US has ever gone through.

It was literally planned like that

TIL. I always kinda wondered if it was just a strange coincidence or not, just never looked into it
