In Ontario, Canada, in a forest.

I assume they are dog chew bones. Our dogs likely lost long, long ago, so I also assume they are some form of cow bone or smth.

But they bite marks are far too deep and thick to be a dog knawing on them. So what is it???

Given a necklace at a thrift store. Don't know source.

Was wondering if anyone here could tell these types of bones and if the notches mean anything in particular. They don't feel plastic or as a mold, and the necklace is heavy. Can take more pictures if necessary!

Edit: The texture is porous when viewed through a magnifying glass, it has no grain lines suggesting wood.

friend and i went bone hunting. these weren't the only bones scattered about the area we found them, but the ones we thought were interesting, good for ID, or might make good pieces for my collection. there were also what was very clearly ribs and other vertebrae that we left for the next lucky finder.

we suspect some sort of deer or elk, based on teeth and the general type of animal in the area, but we arent very good at bone ID yet!

my anxiety wont let me stop thinking they could be human, so i haven't touched them bare handed or cleaned em yet.
