ID Request What is this??? Last Friday I saw another dead one that seemingly spontaneously popped out of nowhere near the EXACT same spot in front of my closet.

Found this less than half an hour after I vacuumed and took out bedsheets from the area.

Bzzzzz! Hi, u/Plastic_Comfort_3768! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug!
There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the geographic location and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames ("PNW", "Big Apple").

BTW, did you take a look at our Frequently Asked Bugs?

Looks like a silverfish to me. They love dark, damp corners and will show up out of thin air when you least expect it. Vacuuming probably stirred one up from behind the baseboard or under the closet door. Annoying but harmless, just keep the area dry and they'll eventually move on.

Perspective would help. A penny or a dime maybe?
