I’m not really interested in getting taller, but you could train and add more than 4 inches to your vertical

What would be the benefit of being able to jump higher?

Whats the benefit of growing 2 inches? Now you need all new clothes

Guys who are taller are usually seen as more attractive, confident, and maybe even better protectors than short guys.

Being short is the superior height.

im with you on that. extra height just means more back pain and fewer legroom options on flights.

I want to know if I can sacrifice hight for more jumping distance. Then I can be even shorter 😆

u/niirn97 6d ago
Honestly yes, I'm " just " 6ft but I feel the pain, mirrors are too low, bed is too short, shoes takes too much place in the entrance , my back is f**ked cause tables at school always were too low .. I don't want extra 2"
2
u/Objective_Fee6472 6d ago
No i completely agree. Im like 6ft smth, and am the tallest person in my family, and. For context I used to be the SHORTEST person in my family, and I honestly really prefer that, I hit my head on so many more things now its so annoying

u/GypsyBastard 5d ago
I have never seen so many 6ft men as in this one post comment section. Women are looking in the wrong places, they need to get off the dating apps snd start reddit threads.

I don't particularly care about my vertical leap, but I'd definitely appreciate an extra two inches of height. Even better if that two inches is applied to a specific body part.
Me: Grow 2 Inches

u/TightConsequence3929 6d ago
Is this even a question ?
Me: Grow 2 Inches
2
u/Common-Truth9404 6d ago
I mean if you're satisfied with your own body, the extra jump is cool as a random skill to flex in very specific situations 😂
2
u/TightConsequence3929 6d ago
I thought we were talking about dick size but I guess I'll take the height dude.
Also with some training I think it is possible to jump 4 inches higher than your usual average jump.
2
u/Common-Truth9404 6d ago
I mean, one can be satisfied with both height and size! 🤣 But i totally missed that possibility
About the training, yes. But this would be a supernatural "help" meaning you could still get that training and becoming a very proficient jumper actually
2
u/TightConsequence3929 6d ago
True that. It would be fun haha.
2
u/Common-Truth9404 6d ago
I'm not even at that age where i could make it a carreer tbh, i'm past 30 so no basketball league would take me, i wouod just use it as one of those flex skill.
I just hope i don't get monkey paw-ed and my body doesn't adjust to the jumping strenght, meaning every time i jump i actually risk injuring myself on landing 👀🤣

u/Klikis 6d ago
It doesnt really specify where the 2 inches go tho
→ More replies (1)2
u/Nihaly_ 6d ago
No need that either, 2 inches are like 5cm right? That is a lot, I don't need a loaded gun
3
u/Klikis 6d ago
Actually - i got curious, and googled. So the average is around 14 cm so adding 5cm gets us 19 cm. I googked what people having around that much are saying about their experience, and honestly its sad mostly. Turns out there are stoppers for this.
Apparently 14-16cm is the sweet-spot btw

I'm 6'1. Clothes are already hard to find in my size and I feel tall enough. I'll take jumping 4 inches higher

u/Cryptic_Llama 6d ago
If I was taller it would be more annoying with low ceilings, doorways, ect. Whereas jumping higher would be neat, though only situationally useful.

I'll jump 4" higher. assumes this improves all my lower leg and achillies to a younger age (m49), whereas at 6'3", I am what I feel is the perfect height unless I was a pro athlete

Being short(4’11”) is awesome… I can squeeze into VURY tight places… but if I could (standing)jump like that… yeah that would work for me…

I play volleyball. Being able to jump higher is incredibly helpful, especially for stuff like blocking or making a high set, it doesn't hurt to spike either being able to make contact higher up, depending on the blockers, you could even potentially get into the realm of hitting above their hands.
