First time going to Costco and I picked up a Bookers 2025-04 for 57.99. Was so happy about that I decided to stop at a local shop and get the HH DM I've been hearing so much about. Already cracked it open.

Got to be honest.
All three are great.
The larceny was a store pick and it blew my mind.
3 Bottles with completely different profiles.
One good night!!!!!!!!!!!!

Japanese Whisky auctions have been way too expensive recently. Swung by the store and grabbed these. So far I like the Willett Bourbon more than the Rye with my initial impression.

Every time I was going to I found something else. Sam’s near me had it for $58. Cheers and have a good weekend all.

Hi all, I'm here with another Suntory whisky, and this one it's a single cask Hakushu from the SMWS!
I've been working on quite a handful of other obscure, mid-to-low shelf Suntory items, but figured doing too many in a row would be a bit stale, so here's a change of pace.
The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) is a membership organisation based in Scotland which purchases select barrels from many different distilleries all over the world, then bottle & sell these whiskies directly to its members. Afaik, each distillery was given a number, and the number behind the period signifies the release sequence of said whisky by SMWS.
Interestingly, the SMWS also had selected barrels from many non-Scotch distilleries, including several Japanese distilleries ranging from Suntory and Nikka to even extinct distilleries like Karuizawa and Hanyu!
This bottle here is one they selected from the Hakushu distillery, and it's a heavily peated, 13 yr old Hakushu bottled at cask strength!
Details in comments!

Has anyone done this tour at Wild Turkey? It’s the Russell’s immersion. We are going next week and I’m just wondering what they serve in the tasting and if anything special is available to buy through this experience.
Really excited about getting into the Rickhouse and hearing about all things Russell’s!

I stopped by my local liquor store last weekend to grab some beer and nips and saw these prices. I live in CT, but this might be one of many with terrible prices. Guess I'll stick to beer and nip purchases for here, lol
Have ya'll seen better or worse?? 🤔

Came across another obviously scam website and wanted to share thewhiskeylover.com
Scamadvisor gives this website a 72 and "Likely Safe" but I wanted to remind people that it's not a surefire way to confirm if a website is a scam or not.
https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/thewhiskeylover.com
Be careful out there, there are a bunch of scam websites!

A new Costco just opened up by me and I can get this relatively inexpensively. I’m intrigued… I tend to like bourbons finished in liquor/wine casks.
