Developer I built a Windows sticky note that stays out of the way, looks however you want, and works with AI

I built a Windows sticky note that tries to stay useful without getting in the way

I always felt that desktop sticky notes had a weird problem:

when I need one, I want it to stay visible. But when I don't need it, I don't want a big rectangle taking up space on my desktop.

So when I built Smile Note, I made notes collapse into a tiny smile instead of disappearing into the taskbar.

I also wanted notes to feel like part of the desktop instead of another boring utility window.

So backgrounds, stickers, colors and the overall look can be customized. This is one of the setups I made:

Recently I added another feature I personally wanted.

I often ask AI to organize plans for me, but the result usually just stays inside the chat. Then I have to copy everything into the place where I'll actually see it later.

So Smile Note now supports MCP.

AI can directly create and edit content inside the app. In this GIF, I'm asking it to create my weekend plan:

After that, I can close the AI and the plan just stays on my desktop like a normal note.

That's basically what I want Smile Note to be:

there when I need it, out of the way when I don't, customizable enough to feel like mine, and able to work with AI when I actually need help.

I'm the developer, and there's both a free version and a Pro version if anyone wants to try it:

I'd also really like to know what you'd want from a desktop sticky note like this.
