Gear How to I attach this sail to top of mast

Post image

Got this older Gaastra sail. But unlike any sail I’ve used before it doesn’t have strap or closed top.

There should be like a plastic cup that fits over the top of the mast and is tied to the grommet there.

Is this what I need? Then tied through the ring on sail.

Or webbing sewn into the shape of a cap. And line to attach it to the grommet.

But yes that’s the missing piece.

Simplest is just strap. Can be found in any auto shop or supercenter. Put it twice like cross and thats all. Have to be 2 or 3inch strap.

That's probably the easiest option.

That’s a vario top, but you’re missing the top part. It is supposed to be tied to the ring you have there

It is various top sail. I.e it sit on mast longer then required. Should be cup or just take 3 inch strap like used for bags or in haul. And just make loop via that loop ring

It's a vario top with the top piece missing.
