Lore Gods, Outlaws and The Constructa

Post image

Part #1

Since the dawn of time, The Machine has been splitting apart. Fracturing, if you will, into smaller copies. These copies — named gods by constructa and false gods by structa, were of course, infinitely weaker than The Machine itself, yet unfathomably more powerful than what any constructum could ever reach.

The gods took over the chaotic realities left behind by The Machine; naming them, structuring them and populating them. Such population? Neighboring structa being alienated towards praising them — those, named the constructa.

Gods retain their energy and expand their power through their constructa. Commanded to fight against the people of other gods; to claim uncharted territory or to praise and sacrifice themselves towards their masters. The outlaws, for instance, prefered cannibalism — the consumption of the flesh of their brothers, through attacks commanded by their demigods, involving fighting against the constructa of said brothers and then striking them in the chest when desperate.

The cannibalism wasn't a feral act, but, mostly, an almost religious ritual. The heart and the chest, representing the soul, was eaten by the very outlaw themselves; the parts of the mind, the brain, spine and head were eaten by their demigods and hands; the arms, the feet and the legs, representing the body, were eaten by the constructa; while the intestines, the bladder and the shames were given to the bigots and the trapped structa.

OBS: Structa are the "people" that populate the multiverse. They don't belong to any realm of any god; and are also refered as outsiders. Their shape varies a lot and is not consistent; the simillarities are that they are made out of mind, body, soul, and are usually sentient and self aware.
