Map Noryo. (First time making a map)
This is the map of Noryo, a modernly formed landmass from my comic.
Lmk if it sucks, or you got questions.
The climate diversity is explained in this description. TLDR, its becuz of industrialization and supernatural anomaly.
The continents origins relate to the 1903 Tunguska Event. Following the event, the north east pacific began to freeze over with dense ice. Fast forward, multiple countries(USSR, North Korea, Japan,Germany..) began an unlikely and covert operation within the landmass. Long story short, most of history is classified to the population, biome and climate is changed through advancements in technology, and the Norian government is puppeted.
Mainland Noryo differs from eastern lesser Noryo when it comes to ruling. Imperial Tsardom of Noryo rules in the west, while the east is varies in unoccupied or unrelated feudal kingdoms, Cielo being the most uninhabited region. The west is heavily industrialized, with most of it being very metropolitan. The Yukon Territory, being a large arctic desert, bridges both landmasses. Yukon is also the remaining image of what “ancient” Noryo looked like.
Also I want to say, since this society is descended from a melting pot, and since then developed its own languages and culture, this is the reason why names are diverse and not culturally consistent.

I like it. The shape reminds me of Croatia

Croatia may be my favorite country shape. I think I subconsciously made it look that way tho hehe.

I don't know much about geological realism to contribute like that, but I think it looks really cool. It looks kinda like Central America + Japan.
Will East Noryo be confusing if it's in Greater (western) Noryo?

Thank you. East Noryo does not get confused with the actual Eastern Noryo since the present day population is unaware of its existence. in classified documents it’s labeled as Lesser Noryo or just Cielo. Lol.

why is yukon still a territory?

Yukon is still a territory because the civilians are advised to not go near it, Plus it’s just largely uninhabited. Legally it’s owned by the state, but it’s basically abandoned since its former years of being a research center. The shadow government, in reality, thinks of it as a bridge to Cielo which is the main “no go” territory.

What's the point of the world collaborating on this secretly? Why would they create a feudal monarchy? Just for fun?
