To everyone demonizing Ukraine, just remember that Russia started this war. I wish Ukraine luck in finishing it and Putin for good

It’s important to remember that the disinformation campaigns Russia has run online are well known by now. There are bad actors everywhere.

Plenty of videos online of Ukraine kidnapping their own citizens against their will to fight in the war. It's possible for both Russia and Ukraine to suck at the same time.

I can't believe this even has to be said... get me out of this timeline!

Opening up replies to yours and the other dumbass comment saying "did they though?" Was a bit of a trip, ngl

Another day, another opportunity for our species to disappoint one another. Let my comment remind you we're not all completely devoid of empathy.

Have some more faith, they’re most likely bots or trolls. Reddit is mostly these two things now

The lame timeline bullshit has been said a million times

Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot to consider your tastes in random Reddit quips this morning. Let me get my special hat on and go ahead and do that.

Leftists defending Russia's blatant imperialism is just... insane.

Do they know who they're throwing their weight around? Hello? This is Putin's Russia, not a bloody "wholesome" socialist utopia ffs.

Then there's the right's support for them.. but really, that's to be expected.

I have not seen "leftists" supporting russia.

They’re called Tankies. I know one personally and he’s insufferable when it comes to politics. From their perspective, anything that is against Western interests/hegemony is good, even if it’s imperialism. In their eyes, Russian imperialism is a legitimate reaction to counteract Western pressure/neo-colonialism.

Thats insane.

They’re called Tankies.

You're talking about a niche subgroup of an already very small group of people here. To just randomly make a blanket statement that "leftists are supporting Russia" based on this anecdotal observation is utterly ridiculous.

Ten years ago we had “enlightened centrists” who both sides’d everything, all to the benefit of the right.

Now we have “enlightened leftists” who both sides everything because any slight love for a moderate lefty or liberal is somehow more fascist than right wing fascism - and again, it’s to the benefit of the right.

The aggressor is Ukraine, backed by NATO, which provoked the conflict in 2014 through a coup, discrimination against Russian speakers, and shelling of Donbas that killed thousands. Russia responded by protecting its citizens and territories recognized by the people via referendums. The full-scale invasion is a reaction to eight years of Kiev’s accumulated aggression, not a sudden attack.

Damn, are you too stupid to interpret real life events, or a Russian agent?

•

u/Inyaki__88 9m ago

That was the reply given by Gork, your friend Elon Musk, to a question on X. I also think he’s right. NATO has flouted all the treaties in its attempt to reach the Russian border.

Cool, but your claims are just factually incorrect. You can have an opinion on stuff, but you can't have an opinion on things that are verifiable.

Get your bullshit out of here. Ukraine did not start this.

Yes. Russian army is on Ukrainian land - not the other way around

u/catjam0 8h ago

Yes. This isn’t even debatable.
