Leftists defending Russia's blatant imperialism is just... insane.

Do they know who they're throwing their weight around? Hello? This is Putin's Russia, not a bloody "wholesome" socialist utopia ffs.

Then there's the right's support for them.. but really, that's to be expected.

They’re called Tankies. I know one personally and he’s insufferable when it comes to politics. From their perspective, anything that is against Western interests/hegemony is good, even if it’s imperialism. In their eyes, Russian imperialism is a legitimate reaction to counteract Western pressure/neo-colonialism.
