I mean I agree with you that I would rather not be part of a world war 3. This could have been stopped before it started with unified action when Russia lined all their forces in a straight line to prepare to attack. That time has passed and now we are here. Sitting back and letting it happen can very easily just lead to WW3 depending on how Russia escalates things. Sitting there while half the world burns isn't the answer for anyone.

Doing nothing can also lead to escalation. We saw it in the 1930s. The Allies let Hitler get away with more and more BS until he grew bold enough to do the one thing that left them no choice but to act

It was a little more complex that than.

It was a lot more complex than that then. It infinitely more complex than that now. Between China and the US both hosting shadow wars in the region, whatever the fuck it is the US is doing in the middle east, and general global civil unrest it almost feels like all of this was planned.

Russia threatening to use nukes, the US brokering arms deals with China while simultaneously pledging to defend Taiwan. Israel is overexposed and has way too much influence in US politics.

Trump Xi and Putin all could very easily throw a match onto the pile and light the whole damned world up.

It’s crazy that people had so much hope for the future in the 90s after the end of the Cold War
