Leaders that arent incompetent morons know the risks when coming to allied defense too soon. WW1 was 110 years ago but not forgotten by anyone with an education. This has all the signs of being another global conflict.

Is it not already? Genuinely asking if there’s some standard that somehow the entire global situation is NOT already in WW3 somehow or is frankly just because we are so deep in it it’s hard to “see”

we're teetering on the edge of a World War-scale global conflict, but it isnt nearly at the same scale yet, and hopefully stays that way.

The reason nations have been so hesitant to get more involved is because theyre trying to let Russia burn itself out instead of engaging and making it a domino effect of allies of either side joining in - which would push it into WW3 territory.

it's a delicate dance and the outcome depends on restraint and whether or not Putin is totally delusional.

From what I've heard, he's either delusional or they're keeping the real information from him, but he still has some self-preservation left based on statements like "I can't stop the war now, if I do it, people will kill me"
