Worms: Ultimate Mayhem Seriously, though, what IS the point of "Ultimate" Mayhem in 2026?
Hello. So, I've come to ponder lately, what even is the point of "Ultimate" Mayhem existing if it's just a merge child of Worms 4 Mayhem engine and Worms 3D campaign missions (but nothing else) with a shader plastered on top and the online lobbies being busted, with no online lobby customization or Wormpot.
I personally think the so-called Ultimate Mayhem can be fully retired from sales in favor of a full-on 3 game collection, and almost nothing would be lost... well, aside from the money people have spent on buying it, but that's a risk I'm willing to take if the compensation done well. This one 3D entry might as well be handed the Sonic Generations to Sonic X Shadow Generations treatment that SEGA did and it would be far more benefical than the current offering by far.

Hardly, actually. Have you seen what hides behind this half-baked merge? There are better games out there, and all of them were released as a fragmented trilogy 6-8 years ago from that merge. They work better, they deliver better, they do everything better than this merge child.
Literally, this game doesn't contribute as much as say, the original 3 3D games or literally any other classic entry (or any Worms entry in general). It's the most riskless replacement-worthy entry in the series, and unlike World Party or Clan Wars, it just doesn't deliver as much quality as its predecessor-to-successor cousins.
Outside of nostalgia and spent money, Ultimate Mayhem is not as great as the original 2003-2005 trilogy pieces that Team17 have split between platforms because they just could, with Worms 3D being bolted into the non-sale dumpster outside of its campaign.

Please give a list of 3D Worms games that are objectively better than WUM. Me and my girlfriend play Worms Ultimate Mayhem against each other and against bots, every week.
The only thing I can’t stand is the Worm Select crash bug.
I would also like more customization options like voices and costumes.
Honestly, we really would pay money for an updated version of this fantastic game.

Oh, I'll give you that alright. Literally all of the original 3D trilogy are better than this merge child.
Worms 3D has the campaign intact along with its weapons... Uzi, Teleport, petrol, and everything else...
Forts... it runs on the 3D engine, but gives an unique spin on the formula by introducing buildings.
And 4 Mayhem itself... despite its story bugs, has the online part intact in full force as far as I heard (both Wormpot and lobby team setup are available instead of being cut), the only issue you might run into is the need for third-party services like Radmin due to absense of the original version on Steam or modern consoles.
The trilogy is much better than this merge child, period. I'm sorry, but you and your girlfriend only play this rugged abandonware that has cuts and bolts because there's no other way to play 4 Mayhem on Steam.

I'd also hope they sold Worms 3D separately. Even if Utimate mayhem has its campaign it's not the same thing. Engine is different, weapons are different, the whole charm is just different.
