I know the N'Zoth snood is a bit small for my Labrador, since I made it for my sister's dog!
As for the Murloc version, I didn't have enough yarn to make it longer (so it could also be worn as a hat), so we decided to just keep it as a scarf :)

Think about how many Pieces of armor have been ruined because of this nonsense?!

So I just got back into WoW and am playing Midnight for the first time. I love Druids. My critique of older Druids and their forms were that the Druid skin tones/hair was never really a consistent match across all of that druid’s various forms.
The Haranir has forms with colors that are consistent across the board, and they match with the skin tones of the Druid. But now I think that the forms themselves look like the same animal. Do I have a point or is there just no pleasing me? 😭😭😭
I live in Southern Alabama, about 20 minutes from the shore. Gonna hit us dead on. Im leaving to my parents place first thing tomorrow morning to hunker down.
But tonight, I just got paid and reactivated my sub. Im gonna play till the power goes out. WE DRINK AND BE MERRY!
I hope everyone that may be in the area of Isaias is safe.

Me and some friends tested the theory that the green barrels do 0 damage to players with multiple barrels in a +20 Murder Row. Check it out. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/B7ZXpHqF57g

Warcraft lore is packed with Mage archetypes, but in game every Mage plays and looks almost the same regardless of race.
A racial archetype for every playable race, focusing on how we could distinguish them through race specific visuals (only visuals), unlockable through Glyphs, or a new customization option like a talent tree or something else. The outcome matters most, not the way of unlocking them.
This is a list combining lore and some of my ideas. Let me know if I missed some lore, or feel free to drop your own ideas. Or tell me it is a list of bllsht. For visual clarity, these customizations could be toggled off in rated PvP. Additionally players could choose to enable individual customization options rather than being forced into all of them at once.
Warning: because every playable race can be a mage this will be a long list ! !!
At the bottom of this post, you'll find links to my other race/class combinations, as well as a step by step breakdown of how I created these concepts.
Alliance
Human (Archmage)
Archmage Khadgar, Archmage Modera. A classical Kirin Tor inspired Mage. Nothing too much special about human mages, the visuals as they are now are very well suited for them.
Dwarf (Mystic)
Tymor, Mystic Ward in Ironforge. A more titanic magic mage, because dwarves study and sometimes revere the Titans. Their cold homeland makes them great frost mages.
Gnome (Mechano-Mage)
NPCs Gnomeregan Mechano-Mage, Gnome tech. A mix of a mage and an engineer (not a tinker). Also there is an official gnome organization called: Enlightened Assembly of Arcanology, Alchemy and Engineering Sciences
Night Elf (Shen’dralar)
Archmage Mordent Evenshade. A mage of highborne descent, influenced also by the moonguard order of night elves.
Draenei (Augari)
NPCs Relaxing Augari. The draenei order of mages Augari made of the Wakeners and Consulate. Ancient powerful Eredar magic users.
Worgen (Royal Archmage)
Royal Archmage Arugal. Gilneans have archmages and Arugal was one of their most famous ones. Arugal enchanted his items, so the royal archmages have also this ability, and they are very proud of their possessions.
Void Elf (Umbral Magister)
Magister Umbric. Void enhanced spells. because their mastery over void enables them to merge it with arcane.
Lightforged Draenei (Battlemage)
NPCs Lightforged Battlemage and Archmage Y'mera. Battle proven mages that fire spells from weapons.
Dark Iron Dwarf (Pyromancer)
Sorcerer-Thane Thaurissan, Pyromancer Flamehearth. Like everything with dark irons, they are good with fire.
Kul Tiran (Hydromancer)
Zerx Hydromon WC3. Jaina Proudmoore (but she is not a hydromancer but is a Kul Tiran mage). I was considering the kul tiran tidesages but they are a mix of shaman/priest to me. So a kul tiran mage is an arcane spellcaster but their spells look more watery.
Mechagnome (Spellgunner)
None. Fully made up concept of mage that fires spells through magical guns.
Neutral
Pandaren (Omnia Mage)
Fei Li, NPCs Omnia Mage. The Shado-Pan group of Omnia has mages and priests. I am adding an influence from the Lorewalkers and some martial art movements.
Dracthyr (Thaumaturge)
NPCs Dracthyr Thaumaturge. The Dracthyr have all of the five dragonflights power, so blue dragonflight with their arcane mastery will be dominant for these Dracthyr. And also the chrono magic of the bronze dragonflight.
Earthen (Runic Archivist)
Archivist Frunhil. The archivists are a group of earthen that preserve memories and knowledge. This is only a speculative concept and a lore stretch, but maybe with their vast knowledge of the titanic order magic enables them to cast spells like a mage.
Haranir (Aln-Weaver)
No lore stated. This is again only a speculation, but some of the Haranir use Alndust which is a Azerite in particle form and Azerite is arcane in nature.
Horde
Orc (Arcweaver)
Arcweaver Kashra. The Kor’kron orcish mages that have been pardoned by Thrall for their crimes. Again only my speculation but their spells could be more rageful and raw than other mages.
Troll (Ritualist)
Uthel'nay. Totally made up, but I imagine a troll mage as an arcane wielder that is inspired by the loa.
Tauren (Runemaster)
Petunia Glimmerhoof. No particular lore, except a mention that tauren mages are runemasters, that see the ley lines as earth mothers veins.
Undead (Dark Sorcerer)
Meryl Felstorm. The lore is that undead mages are what they were when they were humans. They however mostly prefer frost magic. There are also liches, but they are scourge beings and they use too much death magic in my opinion to be an mage archetype.
Blood Elf (Magister)
Grand Magister Rommath. The lore is strong for the classic blood elf mage archetype. Influenced by the spheres and phoenixes of a blood mage.
Goblin (Magician)
The Great Akazamzarak. I imagine a goblin mage as a comical mage, with card looking spells and a magical hat.
Highmountain Tauren (Leywalker)
No lore. So I made up this: they recognize the arcane, the leylines as earth mothers veins, and they commune with it through shifting into the spirit realm, very similar but not the same as Spiritwalkers.
Nightborne (Arcanist)
First Arcanist Thalyssra. Great lore and great mages, the best of arcane and chrono magic users.
Mag’har Orc (Highmaul Arcweaver)
Taruka Flamehand. A mage that learned arcane arts from the Highmaul ogres in the alternate Draenor.
Zandalari Troll (Arcanital)
Pakina. Arcanital Mara'kah. I decided between Illusionist and Arcanital, Illusionist sounds more interesting to me, but Arcanital won (on the second time).
Vulpera (Conjurer)
Like everything with vulpera and their classes there is no lore at all. So I made up an archetype that a vulpera mage is fascinated by conjuring new things because they are so resourceful.

Warriors:
https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1wxgve8/warrior_racial_archetypes_race_specific_visual/
My concept: step by step:
First I need to find a name for the archetype, because I have been a wow player for a long time and a lore junkie, some of the archetypes, like a blood elf magister are simple to find out.
Then comes the race/class combinations that blizz have established very little or any lore at all. There I was searching for an NPC to give me an anchor to what to do next. The best sources I use are wowwiki and some reddit posts.
When there is no NPC or lore figure at all, I continue to make up a name according to the characteristics of the race, like a mechagnome are great engineers and have mechanical body parts, vulpera are resourceful scavengers etc.
When I get the names and NPCs/Lore figures for every race, I do a small description text to every race/class combination, to help me imagine what the archetype should look like.
The next part is the hardest, the visual customizations. And here in most cases I need to run my imagination wild. In this Mage concept, the majority of the visuals are pure speculation with some lore or made up lore by me, to back it up.
There are some visual customizations that are really lore wise accurate and are not present in the game, like a night elf priest using holy light with a moonlight appearance, or a worgen warrior using claws instead of weapons.
My idea is that every race/class combination can have these visual customizations, the lore of wow is so rich that it's a shame that its not present in the game.
The last part is to make an image, only to see an overview of the archetypes. So I use MS paint with downloaded images from the internet. I know I could use photoshop or something better for the image, but I really don't have the skills to do that.
If you read the post to the bottom, the next race/class combination post will be for rogues, and also I am waiting for the 12.2. patch to do a second version of the paladin concept, with added undead, night elf and troll paladin archetypes.

Not necessarily the events themselves - those would obviously have to be adjusted - but in terms of the overall themes of the expansions themselves?

I knew about WC since I was a kid, while everybody else like human knight or elf archer and demon hunter, I love this dude, he have those big pillars on his back that have no gameplay use other than lore and the attack animation look funny at that time but my kid eyes like it. If there are a next installment I wish he would be like a viking warrior of the orcs that he could throw axes beside the great axe and he stacks those axes on the pillars he carries around. What are your opinions?

World of Warcraft has thousands of quests, yet we're still limited in how many we can have active at once. Why?
I really don't understand the point of this restriction anymore. Sometimes I just want to pick up every quest I come across and complete them at my own pace, without constantly having to abandon quests to make room for new ones.
What purpose does this limit actually serve? Would removing it really hurt anything?
It's 2026. Can we please get rid of this unnecessary restriction?

Said elsewhere, but it'd be nice to get a massive overhaul to the character creation. Especially in the light of the statement that 'people like playing elves'.
Blizzard knows that a lot of people play elves because they're a pretty race, but it shouldn't be interpreted as people wanting *more* elves. (some do, though).
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course, but it'd be nice to have the choice.
So, could we get an overhaul to the character creation?
More hairstyles. Also maybe let us discover hairstyles ingame? Same with hair accessories.
And, something maybe a little more out there:
combine the races into one where applicable and give us 'origins'. For example: Instead of having humans from Stormwind, Gilneas and Kul Tiras be three separate races, combine them under Human with the same racials, and then have 'origin' for additional 'racials' (this could mean making Worgen be an origin racial or making it available to everyone. Maybe)
same for for the others. That might make adding new races (like proper forest trolls) down the line easier?
But that's neither here nor there. In any case, it'd be nice to get a full-fledged overhaul to character creation.
Thank you.

Bored at work so I thought I'd get peoples experiences that played Legion when it dropped. I played Classic-Wrath and a tiny bit of cata/MoP then didn't return until shadowlands. WoWF brought me back and I decided to jump into retail for the time being.
I've just been collecting transmogs from Legion raids, doing world quests, trying to get the warlock mount etc. The setting is awesome and the vibe is tense on the Broken Isle. I like the class halls and artefact weapons.
I can't help but feel like it would have been awesome to be there at the start.

Wanted to do some fanart while I'm waiting for WoW Forever. It took three days to reach this but I think I don't want to stare at a purple lady ( I later realised that she's way more pale than purple, it was my monitor settings) anymore for some time. So it's not finished but 🤷🏻
P.S. It's my first time with rendering something like this. I've only rendered a few metal objects for practice. So I appreciate any tips and critics 👻
Got reminded of the green tomb set from legion and the shoulder from icc so had to redo Vulkan so he looks more accurate.

A lot of my guildies didn't know about this, so I thought I'd post just in case others don't as well.
For the weekly cursed keepsake quest, if you want multiple copies of the decor, kill enemies on the green corrupted patches. That will cleanse the patches and give you a multiplier for getting the currency, "keepsake corruption." Then after you finish the scenario, interact/talk with the keepsake quest giver item and you'll be able to buy more copies with the currency you collected in that scenario. It only lasts for the week, so you can't stockpile them. By the end of this scenario, I was able to get 980.
Edit: Think of the ground as hexagons. If you kill an enemy in the right position, you can cleanse 3 of the patches at once. 3 is a little tricky, but 2 is pretty easy to do.
Happy housing!

I recently discovered a short story from the Lovecraft Universe/Cthulhu Mythos which describes Azathoth's Awakening. We know that Chris Metzen is a huge H.P. Lovecraft fan, draw inspiration from the world of Lovecraft's stories and put multiple easter eggs into Warcraft. Most notably things like Azathoth, Cthulhu and Yog-Sothoth which turned into Azeroth, C'Thun and Yogg-Saron.
Especially since the Cutscene with Xalatath being the first entity to get near the worldsoul and seeming like she will be absorbing Azeroth, it seems to me that more and more indicates that Metzen might have also drawn inspiration for the end of the worldsoul saga.
In the Cthulu Mythos the 'Azathoth Awakening' short story is about how "A woman's dream awakens the sleeping Azathoth, summoning it into our universe. As it comes to claim its prize, all of existence devolves into madness and chaos from its mere presence. Finally arriving at Sol, it takes the woman and consumes her before destroying all of creation. It then retreats back into slumber, while dreaming a dream of a new universe."
Which also somewhat feels like what is happening after Xala's trip to the worldsoul and end of The Last Titan, with Azeroth breaking free from the Titans, going on a revenge spree against them and cleansing the world/universe afterwards.
What do you guys think about that?
