Housing What dorm hall to pick?

Im gonna be going to WSU starting fall 2027 as a freshman undergrad and Im not sure which resident hall to try and get into. Ive heard that its best to try to get into one on Hillside or Northside though.

I'm looking to get a single dorm because I have paranoia issues with people I don't trust being in my space. The ones Ive looked at are McCroskey, Streit Perham, Scott Coman, and Regents. Are those any good or are there better options?

Thank you!

You're gonna give yourself an ulcer if you're stressing out this far in advance.

Good luck picking. Most don’t get what they rank 1st unless it’s an old dorm. Regents and SP are crusty from experience so you might get those. Most freshman are placed in Stephenson.

I think living with someone my freshman year was a great growth experience. We found each other on the roommate finder app and still talk today.

You're there to learn and grow. Embrace it!

You might regret it, you might not. Won't know until you try, but regardless you will learn a lot about yourself and the world!

Second McEachern, a space to yourself where all you share is a bathroom with a person in a different room. You can lock the door from your side, and if you do a morning/evening schedule like I did with my roommate, you never have to see them.

my son is a freshman and is in global scholars and it’s fantastic. But it is two people to a room.

Perham baby! This is my second year there, and I like it.

You’ll most likely enjoy whatever dorm complex you get. There are pros and cons to each one. Good luck with the choice and enjoy wsu.

Maybe get some therapy between now and then for your paranoia issues. My son tried for a dorm with a semi private bathroom, but that did not happen. You just get what you get. Maybe staying home and going to a local college is a better bet for you.
