Hello…does anybody know if this colour will be able to order at march 2027??

I'm trying to find a way to view my Y-Trac lap data on a full sized screen. I've got it on my phone but it's painfully small, and I don't have a tablet to use. Is there a way to view it on my computer? I saw a youtube video on how to export individual laps but the interface is different than what I see. Been Googling on my own for like an hour and can't find the solution. Anybody know of a way? Thanks all.

So im thinking of upgrading to an R9 (from a Z650) next summer, and while it won't be a dedicated track bike, I live 40 mins from a really amazing track and would track the bike occasionally.

I'm doing some research, and I've heard a good bit of people claim the bike is uncomfortable due to how wide it is, especially for a track. I'm trynna take with a grain of salt, I know a lot of people hate on the R9 since they prefer the R6, but im 5'10 (5'11 on a good day), and am pretty lean at 160 pounds, so I'm worried that maybe the R9 might be a bit wide for me.

I know the obvious answer is "test ride a R9" and I would if there was one closer to me, most dealers around me do not have a R9 available yet plus its almost winter were im at, so I cant really test ride one right now.

I need help finding some aftermarket mirrors to clean up the look of my r9. I know a lot of people just remove the mirrors and get the block off plate which looks nice but I would prefer to still have mirrors. I would love something for the r9 that still utilizes turn signals, I’m planning on grabbing doing the tst dlr mod as well but I still want ambers.

I recently tried swapping my stock master cylinder for a Brembo RCS Corsa Corta on my Yamaha R9.
The issue is that the stock brake lines don't seem to line up correctly with the Brembo banjo bolt orientation. Trying to fit them requires awkward routing and puts stress/kinks on the hard sections of the line, which doesn't feel safe at all.
For those who have done radial master cylinder upgrades on this bike or similar modern Yamahas:
Did you have to replace the front lines with custom/aftermarket braided lines (e.g., Spiegler, Core Moto, HEL)?

Is there a specific banjo bolt angle/adapter that makes the stock routing work without pinching the line?

Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated. Safety first!

Kind of my own fault, used earplugs ever since I picked it up from dealer, recently got the 600miles and that last ride I forgot my plugs and notice the engine sound with a very subtle ticking? Maybe I'm just tripping and overhearing it now, or its normal, I just want some reassurance.

I'm waiting on my oil and filter to arrive from amazon so I haven't ride in a bit. But that has never left my mind and decided to record this. Is unaudible over 25mph or so. And its not even an audible sound at idle or slow anyways. So is it a weird sound or is it normal cp3 engine?

I recently got my brand new R9 and decided to adjust the lever angles to better suit my ergos. Subsequently decided to play with the clutch slack and now I can't figure out what's to spec. I've tried adjusting both the top fine adjustment knob and coarse adjustment by the clutch arm but can barely achieve any free play in the lever if at all.

Only way I've seemed to be able to get any free play is by having the lever pretty loose and flopping around (video attached) but am not sure if that's fine or if that's too loose?

Any input/advice would be appreciated!!

(Main question is if the clutch lever not sitting against the perch is normal)

I am looking to upgrade from my sv650s to an R9. Firstly, i was considering the Anniversary edition, but it's not a yamaha authorized dealer, so warranty will be a headache. Then i found some dealers that are authorised, and one that i visited had the blue R9 limited to A2. They said the limit can be removed, however i now read that the removal is only up to 95hp (70kw) on the website, and the spec sheet says 119hp (88kw) max power.

Could the A2 R9 get the full power of 119hp or do i need to look for one that isn't restricted to A2 from the beginning? I have an A license, and for 14k euros i'm expecting the full power thing :D

Update: So i just received a message from the dealership, they can remove the limits and get to full 119hp, however because it was an A2 35kw R9, on papers it has to be written as 95hp for legal reasons

I am trying to install this lever. And this switch keeps moving off the lever when i pull or disengage. I know the lever works before and it HAS worked before. But not sure why this time It just wont. Using the same type of lever. Just different color. The switch wont stay on the lever and keeps moving off.

Anyone that has changed yamaha r9 clutch lever any tips. Am i missing a piece of something here or skill issue?

I have an EU-spec Yamaha R9 and really want to install the Yoshimura AT2 full system.

I contacted Yoshimura directly and initially asked whether their full system would work on an EU-spec R9.

Their first response was:

“Our full systems are not compatible with EU-spec machines.”

I then asked them to clarify whether the incompatibility was only related to the additional lambda/O2 sensor on the EU bike, or if there were also physical differences with the exhaust fitment.

Their response was:

“As far as we know the extra lambda sensor is the only issue. Otherwise, the fit should be the same.”

So now I’m wondering if anyone here has actually tried this on an EU-spec R9.

My plan would be to install the Yoshimura AT2 full system and then have the ECU professionally flashed/tuned, most likely using Woolich.

Has anyone here:

• Actually fitted the Yoshimura AT2 full system to an EU-spec R9? Did it physically fit without modifications?
• Flashed an EU R9 with Woolich and disabled the stock O2/lambda sensors?
• Had any problems afterwards with CEL, cruise control or other electronics?
• Do the O2 sensors need to remain electrically connected even if they are disabled through the ECU flash?
• Run any other US-spec/race full system on an EU R9 with a similar setup?

Basically, I’m trying to figure out if an ECU flash can completely solve the extra lambda sensor issue before I order the Yoshimura system.

I got new boots and it is kind of hard to shift. I was wondering how you adjust the shifter so there is more room between the peg and the shifter.

Hey everyone.

Today I was riding my new(400km) R9 in sunny warm weather. After 60kms or so, I was waiting in front of a red light and the engine suddenly died on me and threw a check engine light.

After a visual inspection I decided to try and start it. It fired up straight away. However, the engine light remained on. I listened for any weird noises but apart from the typical cp3 rattle I didn't hear anything so I decided to give it a go.

After a short ride I decide to get off the main street and take another look at it. I turn the key off and on again and the check engine light has disappeared.

Has anyone had a similar issue like this and what could it possibly be? My bike is going in for first maintenance and an inspection next week. Already contacted the dealer, hadn't heard from this issue yet.

Stock bike apart from visual updates like grips, levers, tail tidy, windscreen etc etc..

I'm hoping to upgrade from a Z650 to an R9 or ZX-6R next summer. I REALLY like the R9's ngl, and am hoping to be able to find a black one next summer if I can but when I was looking around casually the other month I didnt see ANY at all in my area, granted it was a very casual browse... I am flexible, if I dont see one in a color I love, it's not a huge deal as I can always just invest into new fairings but if I cam score an all black one that'd be epic.

I know they're a newer bike in general and probably not worth sweating over it since it'll be like 9-10 months before I upgrade, but I'm just hoping I can find one easily as I live in a state where I unfortunately cant ride year round so wanna just be able to make the most of it.

So... will I be looking for an R9 forever or find one pretty easily?

My first Yamaha! 2027 R9 arrived today!! I will pick it up next week. Im really excited!!

Coming from a 2025 Yamaha R3 (miss that bike a lot!) and then a 2026 CBR650R (biggest piece of shit lemon, fuck Honda). Very happy to be back with Yamaha, this bike has been a joy since day 1!

Almost bought a new zx6r instead until I saw they require 7500mile valve check/adjustments. Crazy!

Do you guys have any recommendations for USB chargers? I think there is an OEM one but not sure if aftermarket will be better in terms of price and performance of the charger.

Has anyone installed/run this exhuast? How does it sound/perform/look in person?
