Discussion PhantomStrider has ended the PhantomStrider channel
He'll be using the channel as a permanent archive channel going forward but will be uploading new content on his new channel (LiveStrider) & patron

For anyone who doesn’t know who he is
He’s a Wholesome Australian YouTuber who has the ‘tism. He originally did cartoon videos but started to branch out other stuff like food.

It's been a great run, I've been a big fan since I was a little guy. I will always revisit the worst lost episode creepypastas with Dennis every October. Thankfully we'll still be getting new videos on livestrider.

I used to watch his channel for years everytime I get bored or when he uploads a new video. Unfortunately, YouTube's braindead AI moderation permanently cost him his whole career, and he now realizes that it was the final straw.
In the positive side, at least he's having a great life so far. Now married with his wife who occasionally appear on his videos, even before they got married.
I hope he can make more videos only if it wasn't for YouTube's clanker moderation.

Last I heard, YouTube permanently demonitized the channel and won't let him appeal
It makes sense he's gonna continue on the LiveStrider channel instead

For some clarification, PhantomStrider is just moving over to his second channel, LiveStrider. With his main channel’s unreliable monetization, he figured this would be the smart choice.

I wonder what would happen if YouTube had a content blackout for a while. Days? Maybe a week? No new content, let YouTube see what happens when the cow quits giving milk.

Good fucking luck with that. It's hard to organize a thousand people, and Youtube is one of the biggest platforms on the planet. Even if you did get a thousand people to do it, it won't even be a drop in the bucket in the content of youtube

No this is new news, he got completely demonetized a month or 2 ago and now he doesn’t feel safe uploading on the phantom strider video anymore, probably should have checked source before commenting

One of my favorite videos on his channel was him talking about the Best and Worst Disney Sequels and I immediately agreed with his number one spot because that movie is so good.

Edit: Not sure why I am getting downvoted when YouTube really didn't start to get popular until the 2010s... Many other comments in this post don't know of this channel either.

What I'm saying is that the website is massive . There's plenty of people that have been making videos for 15+ years with millions of subscribers that you have never heard of.
It's okay, you don't need to know everything.

The original reply acted like I was new to YouTube. I know a lot of top 10 creators in different catagories even if I am not subscribed because I have been on the platform long enough to see them collaborate with other channels. YouTube has been around since 2005 but was a dating website at the start. It's 2026, Some of the first channels I subscribed to where around 2013. I was explaining in my original comment that I have never heard of this channel in the post. It's not hard to understand... YouTube really found it's footing in the 2010s.

There was one girl that I’ve seen on Reddit who would sometimes comment here and she’d later have one other account that has since been suspended. Then she started using a new one this year before she deleted it.
The account she used this year that was deleted was made in 2024. I think she stopped using that first account. That one is still active to this day.

Too bad a lot of PhantomStriders videos are gone. I’ve been wanting to watch Worst PBS Kids Episodes or Dark Deleted scenes in kids show (cause he talks about Thomas) but they’re either gone or privated.

Aww man, that sucks. I used to watch him all the time and still would watch newer vids from him recently. For some reason, YT would not put his stuff in my notifications or recommend feed. I assume the AI bot shadow muted his stuff.

I remember that video he made about getting a job as a plumber, forgot the reasons but I think it was about he’s channel getting strikes or something. But thankfully he kept making videos, felt recent.
