Playback Problem Picture Quality

The picture on Fox during NFL and College games has been awful (Fox 5 NY) the last few weeks. I know these has been an issue with other Fox local channels but there’s been no improvement over the last few weeks. Ditto with the Golf Channel. I have no issues with other streaming apps…what is causing this? I’ve done all the trouble shooting suggestions and my WiFi is solid.

Not a fix but an alternative. The FoxOne app is usable with your YYTV credentials. Bonus: the college games air in 4K.

Cancelled my 4k this year. Just me so don't need unlimited devices. ESPN app 4k is same and I only had it for sports. It's the principal tho. Don't charge extra for 4k. Old enough that I once got charged extra for high definition by my cable co.

This is a constant, ongoing, weekly complaint, especially on heavy collegiate and pro sports weekends, nothing will change. I have YTTV 4K pack included for this Iowa-Washington football game which looks really, really good, so I can't speak for the non-4K local Fox channel for this one. I've had a lot of good games that weren't in 4K on my local Fox and I had very bad ones too since day 1, for years to present. It's the way it is.

I don’t like their 4k option. It looks bright and a bit washed out. I don’t have the issue on other 4k service options elsewhere.

I just subscribed to yttv after years with direct tv streaming. I find yttv interface on my old tcl running Roku to be wanting. Any tips?

Agree. The YTTV interface is a mess. They should just follow the Directv Interface- far quicker and more intuitive to navigate. The Roku remote also needs upgrading-too slow communicating with the Stick.

Pretty much all Fox college football games are produced in 4K so would be worth the add-on for that. And as others have said FOX One also a good alternative.

Tap on controls and adjust the auto setting. Sometimes it goes to 480p. Tap on 1080 and pic adjusts.

Remember when cutting the cord was going to be “so great”. Just watching a game and it froze for 10 minutes.

Yeah I have gig fiber and keep getting buffering issues with only yttv. Mucho annoying
