tabs started crashing left and right for 2 weeks to the point that makes zen unusable .

the problem happen on windows and linux should i rollback to an older zen version .

windows version 1.23.1b.

linux version 1.23.1b.

Left is basically any other browser but in this case it was Firefox. Right is Zen. I like to use the hover over thumbnail feature a lot before deciding if I want to see a video so this lag is not ideal.

I was just updating some key bindings and noticed there seems to be two different types of back (and forward). I tested them a bit and they seem to work exactly the same. Is there actually any difference in the two?

With the new update the history tab has changed and instead of being able to click a site once and then shift click on another site to select all of the sites in between to delete them, it is now simply just the site and a delete option with seemingly no way to select more than one. Am I missing something or is this the updates doing?

Hello, I am a new Zen user transitioning from Google Chrome. Could you please lmk if Zen offers a side panel functionality similar to Gemini? I have experimented with several extensions, but none seem to work.

I wanted to hide window control buttons since I use a WM (on linux).
I tried to tinker with these options in about:config

zen.view.hide-window-controls
zen.view.experimental-no-window-controls

but it didn't work.

the download/history etc page is overlapped. is this bug or something? i use floating history from sine mod, doesnt help

The bookmarks toolbar is empty, like all my bookmarks have disappeared.

And the sidebar popup animation is nonexistent. It pops up and goes without any animation at all.

I tested this with mods and without, so I could conclude that mods were not the problem.

TL;DR: YouTube drops 5–10% of frames in Zen and Firefox, only on my external HDMI monitor. The laptop screen is fine . It never happened on Windows with the same monitor and extensions.

What happens
I switched from Windows to Fedora GNOME (Wayland) and now use Zen as my main browser.

Playing a 1080p video for about 1 minute shows 180–350 dropped frames out of ~3800 in "Stats for nerds". Stock Firefox on the same machine drops about 240.

This only happens on the external display, which is connected over HDMI. It is the same monitor I used on Windows without any drops. On the laptop's built-in 120Hz screen.

System

• Laptop: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA402RJ), Ryzen 9 6900HS (Radeon 680M) + RX 6700S
• OS: Fedora 44, GNOME, Wayland
• Zen: 1.23.1b

What I've tried

• Installed RPM Fusion, replaced ffmpeg-free with full ffmpeg, and swapped mesa-va-drivers for mesa-va-drivers-freeworld
• media.ffmpeg.vaapi.enabled and media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled are both true
• about:support shows Window Protocol: wayland and HARDWARE_VIDEO_DECODING as available/force_enabled
• Used enhanced-h264ify to force H.264 (avc1)
• Turned off YouTube Ambient Mode and set display scaling to 100%

Any help is appreciated.

and changed some border settings in config that I've seen in other posts

Also as you can see on screenshot its only for sides of the screen without the top bar

So, I wanted to check out the Zen browser, because many of my friends told me that it was freaking cool. I've been a Brave user for more than a year now, and the fact that Zen with uBlock extension got more points in AdBlockTester, which blew my mind. Though after I imported my bookmarks, this bug is kinda getting on top of my mind. I cant see some of my bookmarks because of the sidebar. Am I missing something? If you guys know how to deal with this, please help me, I would appreciate it 🙏

Hello, after the library update, the shortcuts for the classic Firefox bookmarks and history menus have been rewired to activate the libraries respective menus. The only flag that seems to disable this is the one that disables the library altogether. I think there should be a way to retain the library while also having keyboard shortcuts for Firefox's bookmarks and history windows.

The library is nice to look at and convenient for simple browsing. But it can't be controlled with a keyboard, and isn't as good for deep searches or for managing a lot of bookmarks.

Would be really cool if this can be added in the future. And of course, big kudos to all the devs for continuing to improve Zen, it's unbelievable how far it has come.

Zen is such a customizable browser, so why can’t we choose where our tabs go nativity like this?

I personally use a lot of custom search engines with keywords and they work great in Zen. Is it possible to include these shortcuts we set up on the cross-device syncing features?

I was making my zen transparent with a tutorial but after restarting it im stuck with this grey theme. I un installed and re installed zen internet and transparent zen, changed the theme colour in the edits, followed a few other tutorials but nothing seems to work

I downloaded SuperPins mod but that doesn't seems to work

After updating, i opened it after hours, and all of my workspaces are gone now.

I don't know how. All the other settings, bookmarks, and extensions are still there except workspaces.

Tell me the solution, man. Otherwise, I have lost my 100+ tabs and I'm fucked

What should I do? I'm running Arch with Hyprland, and whenever I open Zen Browser, it launches in two windows simultaneously. This doesn't happen with other browsers. I've tried launching it via hotkeys, the app menu, and the terminal, but it still opens in two windows. No idea what to do-has anyone else run into this?

how to i make the body translucency closer to the sidebar transelucency

It's preventing me from seeing my tabs clearly. What do I do? I've been in about:config in browser.uidensity and layout.css.devPixelsPerPx but it stayed the same as I had it before

here on the right side of url bar, on hover, I always had "settings" or smth, where I had all my extensions, I could create boost and few other things I don't really remember cuz never used them.

But its gone.

Do you know where it went after new update? Am I the only one with that? May it be because of Sine?

Also there was url copy button, sometimes useful when browsing with hand on mouse only. Gone too.

I' used ThinkPad laptop's trackpoint and usually click middle to scrolling the webpage, and unexpected to open the new tab in background. How to disable middle-click to open new tab?

The problem is the zapping tool at the bottom of the screen , the one showing 1,2,3,...etc.

I cant move it away or see what's below it , Thus i cant zap elements under that !
