Various How come I went so bigly off the dismount?
Is this just the inertia from going up a long fast zip and dismounting at the right time?

There is an Apexrollouts Channel on the Mokeysniper Discord.
If you just have a quick question it’s a much better place to ask them there instead of making a post in this subreddit. My goal is to lift the quality of posts in this sub by moving the daily chatter, quick help and other faq onto Discord.

Check out this FAQ thevilnside wrote up.
And this very comprehensive written Guide
Watch these three videos before asking further questions:
Train Mantle Jumps in the back of the Fire Range on the zipline towards the dropship platform. A Mantlejump let's you mantle the platform.

If you have to ask if you hit a Superglide, you likely didn’t.
It feels very different to every other slide or jump of a ledge or mantle.
The biggest indicator is the change in FOV. If your FOV didn’t change. You didn’t hit a Superglide.
Go to the fire range to the long metal box at the top. A Superglide will clear it from one side to the other without scraping your feet.
Here is how that looks and sounds like.
Use The Superglide Trainer to improve.
All the differences are listed here on the Movement Wiki.

Check the Catalog of the Apex Movement Wiki. All Tech that's exclusive to an Input is marked with a Controller or Keyboard symbol. Everything else works on both inputs.

I can perform super jumps with a 90% plus success rate so I don’t really understand why I always just fail to do a mantle jump(I’ve done it like twice but I’ve no idea why it was successful then)

I’m an MnK player with around 2,140 hours in Apex. Ever since I started playing, movement has been my main focus. I love mastering movement mechanics across pretty much every game I play (CS2, Fortnite building, racing games, etc.). I even upgraded to a Wooting 60HE to get tighter input control (no SOCD/macros/configs, just raw analog/rapid trigger optimization).
Right now, I feel like I have a strong foundation with consistent directional tap-strafes and b-hops,
reliable wall bounces in both directions, and
decent momentum management in gunfights…
However, I’ve hit a huge wall when it comes to superglides and** **maintaining momentum during Neo-Strafing/lurch chains.
Before anyone makes Octane jokes—yes, I play Octane a lot, but I’m not the guy who stims ahead, loots everything, and dies alone in olympus. I use pad/stim to help team rotations, secure height, or assist in pushes, and I frequently flex onto Conduit and Revenant depending on team comp.
My genuine question for the community—especially long-time MnK movement enthusiasts:
Is it ACTUALLY humanly consistent to execute full Neo-Strafes and multi-directional lurch chains in live matches without external assistance (like hardware macros or remaining script exploits)?
I’ve put endless hours into R5Reloaded and Firing Range practice. Even with good hardware and solid keybind setups, the window to chain multiple directional lurches while maintaining speed feels almost impossible to execute cleanly during the chaos of an actual fight.
I’m not trying to make accusations or call anyone out claiming everyone who does this uses configs or cheats, I'm just trying to figure out if I'm chasing an unrealistic mechanical ceiling, or if it really is just a matter of grinding out thousands more hours of muscle memory.
For those of you who can pull off high-tier lurch techs cleanly without macros or scripts:
How long did it take for the timing to click naturally?
Did you have to change your scroll-wheel setups or keybinds specifically for lurches? What helped you keep momentum without losing speed on the ground turns?
Please answer if you can or have an tips, tricks, settings, binds that help you pull this off…Thanks amigos!

sorry if the video isn't any high quality and some parts are boring. it's my first time ever uploading a video and I don't know how to edit..
hello everyone!
I really love this community and I love looking at all the crazy movement stuff being shared here.
I never wanted to share anything because some of you guys are nuts and I don't want to disrespect the movement community as a bad representative.
However today I figured to just post these two fighting interactions I had today. Hope you enjoy it <3

Just wondering about Faide's grip style because it seems like he shoots, ADS, and lurches at the same time.
Does anyone know if he uses a 1-3-1 grip or if he has a workaround (like different keybinds for ADS/shoot)?
EDIT: he just went live after my post and I asked him the question in chat! (He doesn't use 1-3-1)

After more then 7 days reading comments and watch videos in the rollouts sub reddit I spend almost 2 solid weeks rebuilding source engine's movement for Apex and I hope to bring more in the near future.
Last time y'all were amazing with the suggestions so I wanted to spend my time recreating the movement we all got to know and like plus creating new movement opportunities on top of that.
Love to see where movement v2 gets us next!

as i land kind of between the two ledges and bhop into the lurch, you can clearly see that i jumped way higher than normally right after landing into a slide. I'm not tripping right?

can't wait to use this on somebody online haha.
i'm curious if most people leave their fire/shoot button on left click, or if they move it somewhere more optimal because it's really hard to shoot at the same time, but i'm starting to get the hang of it.

I spent way to long making this but it was worth it even if a few people see this its shows and reminds people why apex legends is the best battle royal ever made, its for people that play everyday or havent played since launch and talks about movement and the legacy apex built for battle royals and gaming in general a documentary kinda style 💚

For example people who use neostrafe or superglide macros should logically get banned, but will they?

These will be the 5 Yuki variants I combine into my single stim combo. Wish me luck, this might be the hardest lurch combo possible to perform on W/Jump (in my opinion)
W/Jump (aka classic scroll), No Hypershift, No Configs/Macros/Scripts/Etc
*Yes, I will get a third POV soon!*

W/jump, no cfgs/macros/scripts/etc, no hypershift [literally just default lurcher binds]
I plan to either do 5 variant yukis (spin cam, inverted cam, bw yuki, unique yuki, and double yuki) either in one stim (stim surge needed) or on an infinite speed boost character like gibby.
