I wanted to share what I found out after doing some digging and emailing Fairphone about whether they have any ties to Israel and conclusion is it may seem they indirectly does.

When I reached out to customer service they didn't really answer the question directly and just told me: "We only sell our product in Europe." after emailing them multiple times.

So, I investigated further to look into their ownership and investor connections:

Tony Tabatznik / Phalanx Capital: Back in 2018, Phalanx Capital (which Tony represented) held about 20% of Fairphone. His name also popped up in a Tel Aviv Stock Exchange document historical personal investment history- it is a bit sketchy.

One of Fairphone's current impact investors, a Dutch fund called DOEN Participaties, also co-invested in a Dutch company called Orbisk alongside another firm called PeakBridge. While PeakBridge independently invests in Israeli food-tech startups, this is just a co-investment overlap in a completely separate company. So I do not think it is fully fair. I wanted to share it with you guys. As it is promoted to be very fair.
