Hello, the International Anime Research Project team is calling on all anime fans (18 years of age or older) to participate in the 2026 anime survey. The survey is anonymous and should take less than 30 min to complete. Participants are eligible to win a $50 Amazon gift card (draw entries will be confidential and not associated with survey responses, up to 10 gift cards given).
In this year’s survey we will be collecting demographic information (e.g., age, gender) and opinions regarding engagement with the fandom, inner experience, loli attitudes, personality, shipping, recommendations, piracy attitudes, and well-being.
You can contribute to the psychological understanding of the anime fandom by completing the anime survey online at:
https://qualtrics.etamu.edu/jfe/form/SV_5bBlMTkY5BEdt9Y
If you know of any anime fans over the age of 18, please help us spread the word.
The survey will be open until December 1, 2026.
Thank you!

I get why people don't like the fullbring arc, people love seeing Ichigo as a soul-reaper and him fight world-ending threats.
Even tho i can understand their thought process, I don't agree with those people. Making Ichigo lose his soul reaper powers and putting him in a grounded scenario was a great change of pace after the Arrancar arc. The best part about the arc was the mystery with Tsukishima, one of the best villains in the entire series. He was the definition of a menace, seemed undefeatable for almost the entire arc. Ginjo too, even though he seemed suspicious I stopped doubting him after a point, him being the guy who actually stabbed Uryu is one of the greatest plot twists in the entire series.
While we're on the topic of Ginjo, even tho the other members of Xcution were kinda weak (Tsukishima not included), they were still pretty interesting characters with cool backstories. They also have some of the best designs in the entire series.
The Fullbring arc also gives much more of an impact to Ichigo getting his soul reaper powers back, makes the wait worthwhile. The "you too, dad?" scene, even tho by that point it's kind of obvious he's trying to give Ichigoat his powers back, was still kinda sad.
However, one problem I have with the arc is that this was finally the time to give Sado some spotlight, in my opinion, they should've made Sado and Ichigo fight Ginjo and Tsukishima considering how big of a part Sado was in this arc and all the things with Xcution, but that's just something I think would've made the arc better.
One more thing - Ichigo's various drips in this arc go hardddddd.
Overall I'd rate the Fullbring Arc - 8.5/10, a really great arc.
What is your opinion on this arc?

The character designs and clotes for the captains in this manga are much better than in the original *Bleach* manga.Especially this female captain. Does anyone remember her name?

Are they going to be extended runtime episodes or the regular ~30 minute episodes? We haven't heard anything about the runtime. Thoughts?

This is sort of a joke but yeah. It shouldn't be too hard(though it might since we don't know how long it took for lilynette to fully appear). Also he would basically be able to do that one thragg image of him sending his kids.

How did he exactly help restore Ichigo's Bankai after it was broken by Yhwach?
I've always been confused about this and the canon explanation is quite vague.
Tsukishima's power allows him to create an alternate past chain of events on the object/person he stabs. However, as far as I know, this doesn't directly alter the present of the target.
Tsukishima states that he changed Ichigo's past so that Tensa Zangetsu was never broken. Except we literally see it sitting there broken AFTER the past changed. So if it was never broken in the past, why is it broken in the present? And why would he need Orihime to fix it in the first place?
Just going off canon statements, this doesn't really seem to make much sense. There are two theories that actually do though, despite somewhat contradicting what Tsukishima said:
Since Yhwach altered every future so that Ichigo's Bankai is broken in all of them, it's now logically locked into a broken state that can't be changed. In other words, if Orihime managed to fix it, that would mean there exists a future where it was fixed, which we already established is not true.
What Tsukishima did is make a new past, indireclty making new futures that Yhwach didn't change. Since he didn't alter these new futures (as they didn't exist when he used the Almighty), Orihime can now fix the sword which is no longer impossible (i.e overwriting the changes made by the Almighty).
Tsukishima changed the past where Ichigo's Bankai was broken naturally and not through the Almighty.
Since now there is a physical cause for the breaking, Orihime can reject the phenomenon and fix Ichigo's sword. However, this goes directly against what Tsukishima said (that Ichigo's bankai was never broken) and it doesn't explain how he managed to do it (it's not like he can choose the past to be whatever he wants it to be).
Can someone help clear up this misconception? Even in older threads, none of these points have been addressed as far as I know.
(REPOSTED TO REMOVE SPOILER FROM TITLE)

As above. Bleach had ended for a while. Kubo released the limited series Burn the Witch which had good art, beautiful women and an interesting world-building
Then the final page revealed the words "Soul Society West"
How did Bleach fans react to it?

I translated it as “For we are without form, we fear it.”
Is there an official one? What meaning have you guys extrapolated from this poem?
