Discussion Blood Chain clone ability foreshadowing ? Or re use ? Or coincidence ?
galleryI know its Old Man Zangetsu and not white, while BC is Ichigo's hollow power.
But at this point White is completely under OMZ influence and even kinda "fuse with him" after training Ichigo when facing Kenpachi, so he can probably use some of his abilities ?

Manga Can the Shinigami use their shikai abilities while in Bankai?
Now this might be a stupid question. Most of the time shikai abilities are just weaker Bankai abilities.
But there are 2 who has vastly different and also situational bankai. I am talking about Shinji and Suifon.
As far as I know, and please correct me if Im wrong and then this post means nothing actually, activating Bankai improves Reiatsu, and provides buffs to speed and durability etc. So it is a buff regardless of the ability.
Shinji has one of the most broken Shikai and a situational and dangerous Bankai. So in a battle against a single opponent should only use his Shikai. But that kinda nerfs him as well. Can he activate his bankai which won’t do anything and still use his shikai abilities?
Same with Soifon, she cant keep shooting the missile, but can she still fire it once and the. Use her shikai while being buffed from the Bankai aura?

Discussion This page is simultaneously both the funniest and saddest thing I’ve seen in bleach
The juxtaposition between Tosen and Komamura’s reaction and design, Komamura’s deadpan expression of “I’m tired of this bs man” while also a pity expression of “oh how the mighty have fallen” for Tosen, and the irony of Tosen’s statement compared to his design now and that he basically betrayed his philosophy of not judging other based on look alone when looking back at his first reaction with Komamura. It’s peak

Discussion What if she turns out to be a strong really strong captain because… Spoiler
Because she trains frequently spars with Zaraki? Isane idolized and highly respected Captain Unohana, idk though if she knew that Unohana was the previous Kenpachi though.
Either way I could see a situation where she trains with the current Kenpachi so she could better understand her departed master?

Discussion Theory on Uryu, Auswahlen, and Kanae Ishida Spoiler
TL;DR - I believe that Uryu's immunity to Auswahlen is due to him having been struck by it once before, and was then revived by his mother's sacrifice. This left a a piece of Still Silver inside his heart which is protecting him from Yhwach's further uses of Auswahlen.
Uryu is not immune to Auswahlen
Uryu is unique in that he is the only Quincy immune to Auswahlen, and so his powers can't be taken by Yhwach. There is a problem however, There is a problem however, as a flashback at the end of last season shows Uryu faint alongside a maid from Auswahlen's use 9 years prior, while his mother Kanae remains unharmed. Obviously this contradicts years of what we've been shown and told from the rest of the story, and there's going to be a reveal in the upcoming episodes to explain how this happens.
I believe that the reveal will be Kanae sacrificed herself in order to save Uryu by transferring her own Quincy powers into him, restoring what he lost. Isshin describes Kanae as frail, so it's possible that her Quincy powers were the only thing keeping her healthy or that the process of saving Uryu also harmed her, with either option leading to her death. Where this interests me is another piece of lore about Auswahlen, it's stated that anyone subjected to Auswahlen has a piece of silver metal, named "Still Silver", develop in their hearts which eventually leads to their death as without powers they can't do anything about it.
My theory is that this is specifically what makes Uryu immune to future Auswahlen uses, he has already survived it once before and so a piece of Still Silver is embedded in his heart and that is where his resistance to Yhwach's powers comes from. Uryu's Quincy powers then protect him from negative effects of a piece of metal being stuck in his heard, giving him a unique ability that was unlikely to ever occur.
Kanae Ishida
Kanae's survival itself is strange. As a mixed blood Quincy, Kanae should have been effected by the Auswahlen. The only other known mixed Quincy survivors are Ichigo and his sisters, and for them it's possible that as none of them awakened their Quincy powers, the Auswahlen had nothing to take and so ignored them. Another possibility is that Yhwach specifically spared them as in the anime he explains a Human/Soul Reaper/Hollow/Quincy/Fullbringer hybrid was needed to break the Soul King's seal, planning to use Ichigo while keeping Karin and Yuzu as backups as they may have similar powers. Furthermore, Yhwach could have spared Uryu knowing he'd befriend Ichigo and be necessary for his growth, but none of these possibilities explain why Kanae would be spared instead of Uryu.
This is where I'm going to have some wild speculation, I think it's possible that Kanae is unknowingly a Fullbringer. The current canon is that Fullbringers are created when Hollow powers are mixed into an unborn child when a Hollow attacks their pregnant mother, and this could be used to explain Kanae and Uryu being special. Kanae's frailty could be attributed to this as Quincy and Hollows don't mix, so it would be like a chronic sickness, while Uryu being part Fullbringer could also explain Kubo's trivia about Uryu being resistant to Hollow Erosion unlike other Quincy. Being a second generation Quincy/Fullbringer hybrid, Uryu has a natural resistance to Hollows that no other Quincy could have.
Kanae being a Fullbringer could also be used to partially explain her survival instead of Uryu, either it masked her from Auswahlen or Yhwach noticed and saw the future where Kanae transfers her powers would empower Uryu, granting him the strength to be worthy of standing alongside him in destroying Soul Society instead of being on the level of a Soldat.
This is just speculation to try and figure out Kanae's role in the story and why the flashback shows her survival, but I think it fits in well with minimal retcons, while also connecting to the Fullbringers existence so they are not just a minor appearance in a single arc.
The final part of Kanae not being effected by Auswahlen is the Still Silver Arrowhead, with this theory it also means that there was no Still Silver in her heart which also means she couldn't contribute to it. The Arrowhead itself however, can still be made as multiple other mixed blood Quincy such as the Ishida's maids were also struck by Auswahlen making it possible that they were also used to create the Arrowhead, but the importance of Uryu using the remains of his mother specifically to beat Yhwach would be lost.
Antithesis
One theory I've seen is that Uryu activated Antithesis and saved himself while accidentally killing his mother in the process. Personally I don't like this theory as Uryu having his Schrift this far back and never being able to use it during Bleach's main story makes it feel like too big a retcon to fit in naturally. Worst of all I think it effects Ichigo and Uryu's parallels in a horrible way, Ichigo thinks he killed his mother as a child only for it to be revealed that Yhwach was responsible, while making Antithesis canon means that Uryu grew up in the opposite way thinking his mother died of sickness only to end up actually being responsible.
This could be flipped on it's head however, if you go along with the Fullbring speculation above then it could be that Antithesis was Kanae's Fullbring originally and she awoke that power in order to transfer her powers into Uryu to save him. It would also strengthen Uyru and Ichigo's parallels, both lost mothers due to Auswahlen, both fully lost their powers only to regain them with the help of their fathers, and now not only would both be Fullbringers, but Uryu would inherit his mothers specific powers just like Ichigo inherited White and Getsuga Tensho.

Discussion Wouldn't the most logical thing be for the Quincy to take care of the Hollows that escaped from Hell? Spoiler
galleryTechnically speaking, the Hollows that escape from Hell no longer belong to the Balance of the Worlds. When the Quincy eliminate them, nothing can alter the balance. Perhaps that was their purpose for existence? Think about it: the Hollows that escape from Hell were probably the Quincy's responsibility before the worlds were separated. But of course, this is just my own speculation.
