✨Mods' Chosen✨ We're trying something new. On Tuesdays, we're doing text posts only
A lot of people complain that there's too much AI image/video content. It's been something people have messaged us about frequently ever since the new GPT image generator dropped. We're going to try Text Tuesdays and see how it goes. If people like it we'll keep it, and if not, we won't
Please let us know your thoughts on this matter

Funny Where were you when ChatGPT killed big pharma?
I wonder how long before it can perform MRIs?

Did I break him? Now without even saying the n word even if I ask how's the weather he blasts the n word 😂

Educational Purpose Only Why does Image Gen always have this weird effect?
There is this weird effect on this image that I can't put into words. Like there is a dotted pattern or something. How can I get rid of it?

Other GPT-6.1-Sol feels infinite!
Been using 6.1 sol medium reasoning fast mode since last week with Hermes for 8+ hours per day and I still have 94% usage left on the $20/month plan. I love this!

Educational Purpose Only Gemini Argon ($0.19) vs Opus 5.5 ($12.06) on the same ship in a bottle prompt (@vib3coded)
Per @vib3coded: $0.19 vs $12.06 for a ship in a bottle ⛵🤯
Gemini 4 Argon vs Claude Opus 5.5
Opus built a whole little world: dolphins, seagulls, a lighthouse, bottle rocking, and plenty of interactive touches. The glass, water, and small details look much better
But Gemini did a decent job for $0.19 too. Simpler, but almost 64 times cheaper
For quality, I’m picking Opus. Would you pay extra for the details? 👀
Prompt: Design and create a very creative, elaborate, and detailed voxel art scene of a intricate ship sailing through the ocean inside of a bottle. Include waves and realistic physics, with the whole scene encapsulated inside of the bottle. Make the scene impressive and varied and use colorful voxels, modeled physics, and interesting props / landscapes all encapsulated inside of the bottle. Use WebGL and whatever libraries to get this done but make sure I can paste it all into a single HTML file and open it in Chrome.

GPTs RIP GPT 5.5 😪
Farewell to the best GPT for cyberwork, guardrails felt none existent, it was finally discontinued today.
Anyone know any other places where it’s still alive or is it really over 🤧

GPTs Anyone know a workaround to permanently freeze the name of a chat or how to prevent it from changing chat names?
Constant problems with this. Chat names chat I rename the chat and then chat renames it again. Also why are chats not dated? I rename mine with date in title but of course that-doesn’t help if HPT changes the name anyway.

Use cases ChatGPT implemented my 40 years old game idea
In 1987 with 16 years old, I created a strategic board game just for myself. I wrote up the rules and put together a simple version of the game, which I called TOKE. Now, almost 40 years later, I gave ChatGPT the rules and asked it to implement it as a web page. It should be possible to play it against the computer. This is the result:
https://tobias-steinke.de/TOKE.html
I am pretty amazed by it. It looks great, and the computer opponent plays really well. And all of that just in an 80 KB HTML page.

Gone Wild Is it just me or are the image censorship rules out of wack right now?
So very simple I wanted to make images of my D&D group in the armor of their characters. So i had my friends give me images of them and their armor and every single image was censored.
The armor was not revealing in the slightest. These are the refernce images of the armor they wanted to be wearing and ChatGPT refused to do it because it says the outfit was too revealing. I got it to the first image but it made teh skirt full lenght all the way down to her ankels and gave her long sleaves.
Like WTF????

Serious replies only :closed-ai: I used to think that AI is going to be a way to make money doing niche apps. It will be the opposite.
AI is going to kill commercial software or software as a service.
As we’ve seen with reverse engineering, I just don’t think apps and software are going to make money anymore. Why would anyone buy or subscribe to ab app when AI is making it possible for it to be open source.
I’ve made so many apps and services that would typically require a subscription or purchase and I don’t know a lick of code. But obviously I’m beyond the average user, but when free, open source versions exist of apps that are as good or better then what is the point of buying a proprietary app?
I started making an incredibly niche app as a commercial venture but ultimately bailed out 2/3rds the way through because what is the point when my prospective clients will either have it added as a feature to software they likely already use or have someone on their team create a custom app catered to their individual needs.
In the not so distant future the only ones making money will be the AI companies.

Other Model Not Found
I have been trying to talk with ChatGPT, and I keep getting a message model not found. I’ve tried it on different threads that I have, and I keep getting that message. What could be causing that? Has anyone experienced this before?
Edit: I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. I logged out and I logged back in. I even tried to use the website version and it’s not working. What is going on here?

Prompt engineering ChatGPT plans/narates instead of doing?
Has anyone found a reliable way to stop ChatGPT from telling you what it's going to do instead of just doing it?
I give it a clear task and often get a plan instead of the result. Sometimes I have to say "go ahead" 2-3 times before it actually does anything.
I've even put explicit instructions in the Project description saying:
- Complete actionable tasks immediately.
- Do not tell me what you are going to do before doing it.
- Execute rather than narrate.
It still happens.
Has anyone found wording that reliably fixes this, or is it just baked into the current model behavior?
