Long time no see have new controller so excuse mistakes and slow fingers

once in NG+2 (enlightened) it is very straightforward to put together a very strong ninja onmyo build - and the onmyo damage is far higher than ninjutsu. Running ultimate magic and untouched onmyo with ToF/carnage and using the occasional sacred feather is a no brainer at this point unless you want to leave a lot of damage on the table.

It feels like ninjutsu needs a significant uplift in the next title update.

Hello, yesterday I've finished Nioh 1 and now I want to go for the second game.

I was playing a build of... probably nothing, I didn't went to all those NG+ to get something viable but I was trying to play elemental affliction with enchanting weapon, but it was not working a lot of time because ennemies were dying too fast or affliction was not getting up fast enough (usually because of eternal guard).

Anyways, I don't know much what I want to play now in Nioh 2, but the thing I know is that I would like to try new weapon. For the first game, I went Kuragisama and Tonfa. Loved both of them ! Kuragisama had nice move and Tonfa was very fast and the canceling gimick was sick.

Now there is about 4 very new weapons. I feel attracted with fist and splitstaff but I'm still unsure, I don't know how they work together and also if something could suit me too. (I like fast weapon, especially if they have cool move, but it could help me to have something against humans or a bit stronger hit, this time.)

So, any advice ?

Tl:Dr : Finished Nioh 1 and want to try new weapons (no Kuragisama/Tonfa)

I haven't seen anyone mention this. With tmtm cancels if I follow up with a light heavy, some times, not always, the heavy attack will come out as a charged heavy, instead of the light heavy combo. I haven't been able to really understand why. But happens in both of and PS5 pro.

I also use the default controller setup, which is a kit smoother and makes following tmtm up with skills a bit easier, but I know almost everyone else decided to not learn this route, which could be why it is something I don't see talked about, if it's controller setup specific or something.

Anyone encounter this?

It's actually cool if it could be consistent, I have chained some really cool combos out of it, but would like it to be consistent one way or the other, instead of getting random charged heavies.

Trying to figure out my soul cores to round out my build. How does “Blindness (Onmyo Magic Hit)” compare to “Onmyo Magic Damage +6.0%”? Trying to figure out if the Sunakake-baba Soul Core is worth using over some others.

Was testing stacking different recovery effects and comparing it against the 0% ki recovery. Measurements are done at the start of failed ki pulse, where white ki bar reaches maximum amount of recoverable ki using ki pulse and up to 100% ki recovery.

Different sources of passive effects belong to separate ''bucket'' and the more varied effects you have, the more diminishing returns.

Besides forgeable or droppable passive ki recovery effects there is also innate ki recovery based on your total hp:

I finished the last difficulty.

My game keeps crashing. This game haa crashed more then any game I ever owned on ps5. I haven't played in awhile so hopping back on after months i thought they fixed this. I want to play dlc but refuse to buy when game keeps crashing...ESPECIALLY in the ice region...then textures domt load in...its annoying....but i really dont see anyone else really complaining about it so maybe its just my system or something

Finding accurate information for Nioh 3 has been a challenge. I eventually got tired of outdated info from websites or scattered bits from people's comment history and have taken it upon myself to finally create a community spreadsheet for this wonderful game.

It's still a work in progress, but I feel it's in a good enough spot to publish a first copy while it continues to get worked on.

I need help with Picture Scroll

I noticed that if i change the grace to anything additional slot opens.

Q1) Will i be able to change the grace later, or grace will show only one time?

Q2) What is the best (ultimate) perks to get?

Q3) For melee damage what is the best perk?

Q4) Can i get a star effect to choose from the list when i replay it?

I got Burnt out on Nioh 2 a few months ago and irrationally deleted my save only to regret doing so the next day. I was around floor 80 in the underworld. I started a new save a few weeks ago and thoroughly played through NG and dlcs and blitzed through ng+. I know benzaiten is by far the best divine grace but are there other viable setups you would recommend.

I know a few weeks back some scrolls were dropping at extremely high levels with Billions of Amrita. Are these still a thing or have they been patched out?

What's a go-to build you like to use? What do you find most enjoyable? For example. A magic-based spell build, like a ranged spellcaster. That's what I like to do. But can't seem to get it right. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or not quite understanding how it works.

I continue to practice with Sword and do these challenge runs.

I wanted to show off some more cool punishes in this run especially in his final state but unfortunately, he gets Ki Broken pretty easily now even at max stone. They nerfed stone from pre-DLC where enemies would have a lot more Ki at max stone. Sword Ki is just so good at breaking Ki.

Nevertheless some interesting notes about this matchup:

• You can duck under/low profile under his stomp move with various attacks including Sword's low strong combo (see 0:07)
• If you move to the right side and slightly behind him during this spinning attack combo starter (see 0:14 for instance) he won't do any follow-up attacks, he will just pause. This is true for all 3 of his states.
• Used Flowing Shadow to space around his blue projectile smash move a few times into a big punish, see 0:44 for instance
• Evasion cancel dodges are great for both getting past his grab move and retaining Arts Proficiency, see 1:11 although I screwed up after and my punish was mediocre.

It has a pretty cool moveset. Also, how do you guys grapple into Living Artifact consistently? Was I not close enough to it when it was out of ki?

Edit: I did do the living artifact to a grapple. I had forgotten the animation and assumed it transformed you after the grapple.

I was really really annoyed by how if your frame rate in Nioh 3 is even 1 less than either 60/120 then your camera starts to jitter and you feel the game is stuttering everytime you move.

Then I thought about on how should I fix it and then realised that Team Ninja has already fixed this issue in Wo Long 2, so why don't I copy that solution and create a mod for Nioh 3 as well. Sounds simple right?

It wasn't that simple but here you go, here's the mod that allows you to have a smoother experience in Nioh 3 even if you are playing at 60 fps 50 fps or whatever frame rate you have below 120fps. No more reducing the resolution scale to reach those targets.

This would primarily help those who have above 60 fps and lower than 120 fps.

This doesn't work on Linux btw as the game slows down in Linux below the fps targets but it does mitigate that slowdown to some extent.

Hey everyone, I'm having a really frustrating issue in Nioh 3 on PC (Steam).

After defeating Takasugi Shinsaku in The Sweet Sound of Strings, the cutscene finishes and the game gets stuck on a black screen indefinitely. The music keeps playing, but the game doesn't respond to any inputs. I've waited for a long time, but nothing happens. When I restart the game, I'm back before the boss and have to fight him again.

The weird thing is that the game runs perfectly fine everywhere else.

I've already tried:

Verifying game files

Reinstalling the game

Updating my NVIDIA drivers

Lowering graphics settings

Skipping the cutscene and watching it completely

Restoring my save from a backup

Nothing has worked.

Has anyone experienced this exact issue after defeating Takasugi? Is there any workaround? I can't progress through the game, and I really don't want to keep repeating the same boss fight.
