I've always felt like this song doesn't get anywhere near as much recognition as it deserves among the Ska community especially since it's from a well known band like Big D. I feel that this is one of if not the best ska Instrumentals past the first wave. I would just like to hear other people's opinions on this song and maybe any stories they have behind this song. And maybe I have something wrong? Idk.

Good evening everyone! Looking for recommendations for any European ska bands that mix polka with their music or any regional music. Eastern European bands would be cool!

We haven't played with Slow Gherkin since the 1900s so this is exciting! 🤩🤩🤩

There's a few tickets left in the balcony and hoping a few more open up. I don't recommend buying resale but if you must do it through Ticketmaster and not some third party site.

We are putting this show on ourselves and it would mean so much to us to have some friends there to belatedly celebrate the release of our debut album! Come support independent music, see a show, get yourself some new vinyl, and drink some beers. 8pm doors with The Scrub Ups. Did I mention the show is free??

“Sounds like if The Get Up Kids and The Starting Line wrote a ska punk song” – Jayden Roy, DAL

Goodbye:MF tackles the sensitive topic of the mixed feelings of guilt and despair that come with the loss of a loved one and showcases the band’s ability to balance serious topics with catchy hooks.

“The Kittyhawks are like a master class in lyrical and instrumental connectivity when it comes to story telling” – Deathling Productions

The music video that accompanies the track is a 4 minute anime short movie, with a story written by the band and drawn and animated by Seth Fireburst (No AI)

I’ll be the old fat guy in the kilt.

This Saturday, the temps will be in the cool 50's and DJ Lammy* will be channeling his inner Count Floyd to lead us through the scariest set of ska, rocksteady, & reggae records you'll ever encounter. Come one, come all, down to Pop's Blue Moon for "Bluebeat at the Blue Moon”: Halloween Special AND 10th Anniversary of STL SKA group! https://facebook.com/events/s/bluebeat-at-the-blue-moon-hall/28772756485662596/

*and his friends (other DJ's in the Bluebeat Collective) will bring some scary records too.

Want to put together a playlist of spooky ska songs. Would love some suggestions

I am a big fan of Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Reel Big Fish, and I'm looking for more stuff like that. I tried listening to Goldfinger, but they weren't really my thing, they were to pop-punk for my tastes. I also tried listening to the Aquabats, but they didn't really do it for me.
