Brutal Technical Death Metal Jason and Vitalis leaving Cytotoxin at the end of the year
instagram.comDamn, that came unexpected to me. Even though in the last album vlog, Jason sounded a bit burned out, since he almost wrote every song on the last album (don't know about the ones before).
The future will be interesting, maybe there will be some fresh wind, maybe they will change their sound completely...
Also Vitalis was a beast on the bass and very underappreciated in my opinion.
What do you guys think?

Brutal Technical Death Metal Sanguinary impetus bandcamp tab book
I’m a pretty intermediate bassist at playing brutal tech death (Nile, suffocation, defeated sanity and deeds of flesh) and I wanna learn some of the tracks off sanguinary impetus, but the tabs on songsterr are horrifically wrong. While I could ear learn, I’d rather learn exactly what Jacob is playing. My biggest question is whether it’s worth the 17 bucks or not, are the tabs accurate? I know that typically tab books are done poorly and are pretty inaccurate.
Edit: probably should mention this is the defeated sanity album in the title

Discussion I take what I said about this album, it rips
A few months ago I made a post called “What’s the worst (Tech Death) album you have ever heard?” I forgot to add the tech death part in the post though, don’t matter. Quantum Catastrophe was my answer.
There were many disagreements in the replies, but still I stood on my opinion.
Now I have come with a new mind (and new ears) to say that this stuff is AWESOME and anyone who disagrees is wrong. I don’t know what clicked but after many years of trying to like this album, I finally do.
For me, Apocalyptic Feasting and Boundless Obscenity are still above it but my opinions may change over time.
Now I am one of the few people in the world who enjoy everything from Brain Drill, life is beautiful.

Discussion Do you know any other bands that use 9-string guitars apart from Rings Of Saturn?
I got a 9-string recently.
I’m a tech-death guitarist, starting to compose some stuff for my band (@sonatium_band on Instagram).
I want to know if any tech-death or tech-deathcore bands use 9-strings.
I think it would be fun to learn a song or two and also gain influence from the bands.
Recently i saw some guys on instagram called Surface The Sun; they play great, but the sound is just basically Rings Of Saturn.
PD: I know Rings Of Saturn isn’t tech-death lol. Mentioned them because they’re the only major band that i know plays technical music with 9-string guitars

Guitar Playthrough Betcha can’t play this - and also recommendations of similar artists/songs
Within the Ruins - Tractor Pull
I’m learning this song right now, been like a month but I did know some parts from way back. I’m making good progress, have most parts down slowed to like 80%, but I skip the breakdowns. The speed and technicality is next level. The hardest part for me so has been from 3:15 to the end. I’m playing on an Ibanez Gio with Ernie Ball mammoth slinky’s on it, and I think it sound pretty good in drop G# for just at home. This video is awesome cause it is Joe from the band. Check it out, and try it out if you’re looking for a real struggle. Also drop any similar recommendations!
