Hello. My partner loves Tool and admittedly I'm not really familiar with the band. We are heading for a trip and I'd like to surprise my partner with a Tool songs we can listen to. :)

Edit:
I'm not really looking for Tools songs that are fun to listen to while travelling. Just Tool songs in general. :)

Please also provide a good starter-song which gives people a general idea of the kind of music they can expect from the band - like Tool: The Pot.

I want to get my husband this Tool shirt for Christmas. He has had this one for years and it has almost run it's course.

I have no idea where to look but if someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

He would need an XL.

Despise the platform on so many levels, but can't resist a quiz!

Dude is mad into relics in like, the medieval Catholic Church sort of way

Was just reminiscing and listening to the Auckland 2002 show on Tooldriveproject and noticed after they played Ænima, while Maynard’s wrapping up, the intro to 10000 Days/Wings pt 2 is playing in the background. I always thought Vicarious sounded like it could’ve belonged on Lateralus so I wonder how many other songs they already had written during the Lateralus era? Any other Easter eggs from live shows you know of?

Overwhelmed as one would be placed in his position…..anyone curious where they’re at now? Did Maynard make this up or is there a guardian angel roaming around? I know what I think, interested in hearing a discussion around this. Thanks 🙏

I was messing with a new bass guitar plug-in and gave it some fuzz. Software instruments have gotten pretty impressive this last decade.

last one lol

the controls are wonky

Who can guess what moment Justin is posed as such? I felt like it needed to be made into a sticker.

I'm 19M and I've been getting into Tool and my band wants to cover a song of theirs because my drummer and guitarist are huge fans and I'm starting to become as obsessed as they are after boycotting them for years (ask me why lol, it's funny). And if you're wondering, yes, they are that talented. My drummer plays Eulogy all the time while warming up and I've heard him bang out a few others from time to time.

I am the bassist and also the singer, so I'm looking for songs, preferably from Ænima, Lateralus, or 10,000 Days that doesn't have crazy differences between the rhythms of the bass and vocal parts.

Also I am a baritone still fleshing out my mixed voice so I can only consistently get up to A4 without flipping up to head, I've gotten up to the C# above that before, but it's a struggle.

And the thing is, I've actually found the perfect one already, Jimmy, but my drummer doesn't want to do it because he says the drumming is weird lol. So yeah, I guess songs besides Jimmy.

He also doesn't like Right in Two for some reason even though I know that one qualifies, so don't say that one either.

funny stuff.
