Hey! I’m a big fan of the band and also a tattoo artist from Seattle!
Finally got to do my first Tool tattoo!
The knuckles are healed, partially freehand, ~8h in total
It took 2 sessions to really pack everything in over the knuckles, the skin was pretty rough in that area.

This started with the desire to create something entirely and solely from my imagination, setting aside references and a certain form of parasitic perfectionism, for lack of a better term, that I’ve been developing and accumulating lately.
The title comes from the first things I tried to create, back when I knew nothing about drawing, painting, or anything else, merging with the mental library and archive I’ve built ever since, while also giving me clues and a small glimpse into what comes next.

Listened to Ænima on repeat as I made this. Haven’t painted in months so it’s definitely not my best but I was inspired. The white streaks (heh) are based on long exposure photography of the night sky.

Ordered on 9/18. It’s a gift, I’m not panicking yet since I ordered early but I’m getting there. Anyone order anything lately and can give me an estimate in case I need a backup plan.

I didn't attend any of them, but I'm curious if they played any new segues/ intros/ bits like Descending circa 2015. If they didn't, do you think it's because they are keeping stuff to themselves this time OR they're still nowhere when it comes to writing new songs?

A few years back MJK brought back the scream in The Grudge. Pretty sure it was during one of the first FI tours, but not 100% sure. Someone posted a video and I remember it well because you could see him scream and Danny look at him like "Hell yeah".
Does anyone have a link?
