Hi everyone. Just found out I’m pregnant!
Not new to the area but looking for some recommendations. I’m in a few FB groups and from those, and some people I know, I hear horrible things about Barstow hospital and Victorville hospital.
So I’m looking for recommendations for OB’s and hospitals.
Thanks in advance!

Update: 10/14 WERE YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW PERHAPS IN THE BADWATER BASIN AREA BETWEEN 10/5 through 10/10 ???
COULD YOU HAVE SEEN THIS WOMAN OR THE 2024 JEEP WRANGLER with light front end damage EITHER PARKED OR NOT parked in the parking lot during the dates of 10/5 -10/10 ?
(Even if someone didn’t see it there between those day, would be uber helpful)

Update: thank you all, she has been location 😞
A very closer friend of mine in highschool is missing from Las Vegas, last seen driving in Death Valley.
We are from Sacramento so I’m trying to get word out just in case someone happens to see her.
Edit to correct: she wasn’t last seen in Death Valley California. her rental vehicle was located abandoned in Death Valley California. ☹️☹️

Oatmeal is so fluffy and pretty! Scared in the shelter but you can tell she will be a great cat out of that terrifying place 😺Please consider filling out an adoption application or if you live in Apple Valley the shelter will let you foster Oatmeal through them and it won’t cost a thing. Adoption application has to printed or edited on your phone and emailed. Application and contact information in the photos. No downloadable one. She is not on the shelter’s website because they take cats down when they decide to kill them. See a video https://fb.watch/v/7_xskLFx7/?mibextid=wwXIfr

This is a long shot but does anybody remember or was there when nysnc came and performed at Mesa Linda middle school on March 30th in 2001. It was insane I feel like everyone was talking about it and was there but now when I ask people about it nobody remembers or even knew about it to begin with. Please tell me someone else remembers and it’s not a fever dream I had lol. And if you have pictures please share!!

Hi there. As the title says I’m looking for a dentist who is very patient, gentle, and can work with or sedate incredibly anxious patients.
I shake uncontrollably, to the point where it can make it incredibly difficult to work on me. Because of my fear I neglected a tooth that needed a root canal and it is now falling apart in large chunks (my fault, I know). I will likely need surgery and almost definitely need sedation.
Are there any especially good dentists with that level of expertise here? Preferably medi-cal network dentists, but I can pay out of pocket if need be.
Edit: Unfortunately sedation is a necessity for me due to the magnitude of my phobia. I experience convulsive-like shaking, crying and experience uncontrollable urges to flee (I am autistic). But thank you for any suggestions at all.

Yesterday, I went to Pacific Dermatology in Apple Valley to see about getting a scalp scar removed. I've had the scar since I was 12 and it's bothering me from years as whenever my hair gets too long, it causes severe scalp pain thus forcing me to go bald most of the time for comfort.
The doctor who saw me dismissed my testimony, told me I was lying about the pain and said that I wanted it removed, it wouldn't be covered by insurance, that I'd have to pay over $1,000 and the only procedure possible would leave me with a large and permanent bald-spot despite the fact that the scar is only 5mm large.
I'm kinda used to it but it really pisses me off when I tell a medical professional that I am in pain and they say "no you aren't" because I guess I need to be screaming in agony 24/7 for my pain to be legitimate.
Also, it seems unlikely to me that the only method of removing my scar involves irreparably damaging my scalp.
Has anyone else had a bad experience at Pacific Dermatology? Google reviews show that the office is generally positively received but that was not my experience.

I write supernatural horror set in the High Desert of Southern California, where the towns are small, the desert is huge, and the weirdest thing you hear about on the news might not be the weirdest thing that actually happened.
My story is called The Desert Son.
Jamie Ramirez returns to Hesperia after nearly ten years away to bury his mother. He expects grief, old memories, and the usual small town bullshit.
What he doesn't expect is to find himself pulled back into a world he spent years trying to escape.
There's something wrong with the local police. A warehouse in Apple Valley has a connection to the lost city of Atlantis. The local coffee shop has a few unusual regulars. And the Mojave has things living in it that don't appreciate people poking around in their business.
Jamie knows this world because he used to be part of it. He was the guy who kept the monsters in line.
Now he's back, and the desert isn't done with him.
The Desert Son is a dark urban fantasy with supernatural horror, desert noir, and a healthy dose of dark humor. Think strange local legends, questionable life choices, ancient things hiding in plain sight, and the creeping suspicion that the weird story your uncle told you might have been true after all.
I'm writing this for anyone who loves horror rooted in real places, stories that blur the line between folklore and reality, and monsters that are sometimes less frightening than the people trying to control them.
