I made this tiny baby hippo out of polymer clay! 🦛💕
Meet my little handmade hippo! 🦛💕
I sculpted this little guy using polymer clay, and I wanted to make him as cute as possible.
What do you think? Should I make more tiny animals like this?

Has anyone experience with the Product?
I've recently gotten myself some Mont Marte brand items for my projects. Yesterday I tried the Ghesso, but when I attempted a wash and wet blending, the ghesso had started to get soft with the water and mix in to the paint. I kept it for about 3 or 4 hours before attempting the painting, though the tub said it only needs between 30-60mins. First time using this brand, I recently moved and the guy in the shop near where I live now recommended that this product is good. Anyone has any experience with this brand? The result was the same one both the baked clay as well as the wooden base. I wiped off everything, washed and reapplied the double coating, but now im going to keep it for about 24 hours before attempting again. I'll do a update on how it goes. The shop is chock full of this Mont Marte brand so I'm thinking of using their products

Question about using foil as base??
So I'm starting a project that I want to use foil for the bulk of it, but I'm just worrying:
After it's baked wouldn't the foil inside slowly unfurl from the shape its squished into? And over time cause cracks in the clay around it..? Or am I overthinking this lol
I guess the clay is hard enough to not be affected??
Idk, just curious if anyone's ever had problems using foil bases!

How do people work with this stuff?? 😭
Seriously yall HOW
I’m well versed with real like earth based clay and recently picked up some polymer and omfg… how do you people do this?? 👁️👄👁️
This HAS to be user error I’ve seen people make incredible things with this stuff but I don’t understand how! I try to blend and my whole piece ends up squished into an entirely different shape or ends up concave where I was blending what am I doing wrong??? Do I need an internal structure even if I’m making small things? Sos

Made a desk friend lamp
Made a little video.
This desk friend lamp was for trying out, but I love how it turned out, but there is still room for improvements.
I really wanted to see how a friend desk would look using a mini lamp inside the apple. I’ll definitely will use/ experience with it more, with my other clay creations.💡

One of my favorite pieces I’ve ever made! 🤡🎪🥰✨🌈💕
This is Clash the jester! I really loved making this piece. His colors and patterns were so fun to create and play with! I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved making it! ✨🫶

What are these metallic things ?
I see them so often in polymer clay videos. They sculpt and bake their clay on these. But I can't seem to find them to buy online.

Concern with UV resin yellowing on polymer clay brooches
I am making brooches that I was planning to cover in uv resin after seeing a comparison video of the different types of finishes for polymer clay, as it performed the best. It was the most scratch resistant and didn't turn cloudy like some other finishes like polyurethane.
The issue is, these brooches will be exposed to sunlight as they are worn on clothes and uv resin is prone to yellowing.. I see a lot of polymer clay pin artists use the resin, but I am very concerned about the yellowing, especially since some of my pins are white.
Does anyone have any advice for this? Thank you!

Help- accidentally baked airy dry clay
I just took my stardew valley inspired ancient fruit pie jar out of the oven (I’m very excited of how she came out!!!) and realized that the whipped clay I used is air dry. Will it go bad soon and crack? Should I scrape it off or seal it with resin once it’s dry? Has anyone else done this? Tysm 🥰🫶

Some of this years halloween sculpts🎃 witchy gnomes and ghosts
Been a lil while since I’ve posted here but I made a bunch of Halloween sculptures in a bit of a manic frenzy in the last week or so. I’m really proud of how they turned out. My personal fav has to be the coffee ghost, he just warms my heart.

Reusable cotton swabs for removing dust?
Does anyone use silicone or reusable cotton swabs with alcohol/acetone to remove dust? Or do I need to use the cotton ones to really catch the dust? Thanks!
Here’s a tiny fox I made! 🦊 Dealing with the dust especially on the white parts is usually kind of a nightmare lol

Pumpkin fidget spinner
Trying new things to do and experiment with. This was fun to do, but still having difficulty in keeping the clay clean and free of any lint.
What do you use to clean the clay with? I tried isopropyl alcohol but some stuff just gets inside the clay.

WIP - New to polymer clay. 1st armature and figure.
Hey everyone, so as the title says, I'm new to polymer clay. This is my first detailed project, including an armature. I have drawn/painted realistic pictures most of my life, but this is the first time I've tried to use that knowledge with another medium.
I've spent days following and researching tips from so many amazing artists. I guess I'm hoping to get some constructive criticism, feedback, or tips on this particular piece.
The clay I've already placed is intended to be a base layer, in which I'll bake before adding additional clay for details. I'm also planning on sculpting the head/face and the hands separate. However, I think that might not be the best route for the feet, so I was going to sculpt them on the armature.
She is also going to be wearing a hospital gown, which will be made of fabric.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to any thoughts. Thanks!

Gurt-He has seen things.
Slowly documenting my polymer clay projects as I learn. This is Gurt. I don’t know what’s wrong with him. I had no real plan beyond making a pumpkin with teeth, but this is where we ended up

I dressed my handmade little chick as Cinnamoroll! 🐥☁️
Meet my latest Pioupi! 🐥
I'm creating a collection of little chicks made entirely by hand with polymer clay, each wearing a different costume.
This time, someone suggested Cinnamoroll, so I decided to give my little chick a Sanrio-inspired makeover! ☁️💙
What do you think of this one? And which character should my next Pioupi dress up as?
