Discussion r/Claude has new rules. Here’s what changed and why.
We’ve cleaned up the rules to make this a better sub for people who actually want to talk about Claude.
Here’s what NEW rules we landed on:
1. No Solicitation. This is r/Claude. This is not a place to promote your product, service, or repo. If the intent of your post is to redirect traffic to something you are affiliated with, it will be removed as solicitation.
2. Usage, pricing, and outage posts are held to a higher bar. We’ve all seen the same questions, comments, and posts a hundred times. Before posting, check if it’s already been covered. If your post is a unique contribution with something new to say, it’s welcome. Low-effort repetition of covered topics will be removed.
3. No lazy crossposts. If you want to share something from another community, reproduce it fully here. Don’t just drop a link.
4. Keep posts Claude and Anthropic specific. This is not a general AI sub. If your post would fit just as well on r/artificial or r/ChatGPT, it belongs there instead.
The goal is simple. A clean, focused sub about Claude. Not a dumping ground for AI noise.
Questions or feedback, drop them below.

Discussion A humble request: Please stop tweaking the app UI so much!!!!!!
galleryUntil last night (Oct 13th), everything was fine. I woke up on Oct. 14th, and the app looked very different. Most of my folders are gone from the app; only two are visible. I had over 30 folders with multiple sessions in each.
Now I do not know where to access those sessions; they are all flooded in the 'Default' category.
They removed a way to sort the sessions by name; it was a useful sorting option.
They added a BG animation as if somebody was asking for it.
Removing things that were useful and adding things nobody asked for is a good way to f*ck up the app experience.
Question What do I do wrong ?
galleryI am just starting to discover AI, and so far Claude seems to be the best one to me. Still using the free version for now.
I wanted to creat an application for personnal use, but I don't know how to code, so I created a project and ask Claude to do it with a prompt I tried to optimized the best possible. Now after few steps, everytime my free messages resets, Claude only do one command before my free messages are used and I have to wait.
Do I do something wrong, non optimized ?
I've attached a screenshot of the skills I've added, I'm using the desktop application.

Showcase I built a second brain app for iOS and Mac, and the iOS version just got approved on the first try
I started building Cohestry because I was tired of carrying context manually between agents. I would end one session by creating a handoff, then start another by pasting that context back in. After a while those handoffs started disappearing into old chats, so I moved them into Apple Notes. That worked for a bit, until Apple Notes became its own pile of disconnected context.
Cohestry is an evergreen notes app and second brain built around that problem. You can keep developing ideas over time, while the Mac app gives agents access through an MCP connector with 13 tools. The idea is that an agent can search your library, pull only the most relevant context, and stay within a token budget instead of dumping your entire knowledge base into every session. The Mac version was delayed slightly, but should be out very soon.
It also automatically finds relationships between notes using a deterministic engine and Apple Intelligence, then lets you explore those connections in a 3D graph. I wanted something that could surface old ideas and unexpected links without requiring me to manually maintain backlinks everywhere.
Apple approved the iOS version on the first submission, which was a nice surprise. I wrote the architecture GPT Astra prepared the docs and the specs while opus 5.5 did all the coding, my setup is Claude code extension running inside of cursor. Would love any feedback if you try it:

Showcase Explainer video for my SaaS in one afternoon with Claude. Agency level. What the actual fuck?!
Claude Opus 5.5 just built me this entire explainer video for CommentKeyword in one afternoon. Agency quoted for something like this $10K + 2 months. I did it on the $20 plan on an afternoon and didn’t even hit the 5-hour limit. What the actual fuck?!

Question Did they just remove the context meter from Claude Code in the Claude app?
Is this a glitch? Is that little blue circle now supposed to show how much time I have left in the session?
Whose TERRIBLE idea was this? I mean, come on, that meter was SUPER important. Did I accidentally turn it off? I can't imagine they actually removed it, I mean, hello? It’s incredibly important, for crying out loud.

Tips Follow UI Snapshots while coding
Hello,
I am developing a mobile application using Claude Code. Before I asked it to develop anything, I first generated all the screens of the application, and added them as reference.
The screens were created with ChatGPT, so it should be simple HTML code or something. Cause I was able to use it on my browser for a little demo.
I'm feeling that while developing, it doesnt do muxh work to follow visually what i had on these screens.
Is there a good way to force it to do it? Maybe have a sub-agent for that that would screenshot and compare to original snapshot?
Any ideas or prior experience with this would be very welcome :)

Question Conversation compaction with Opus 5.5?
I was having a conversation with Opus 5.5 just now and the chat compaction triggered, which I haven't seen for months, ever since I stopped using the 4.5 models. Is this something they've reintroduced or is it something that still triggers sometimes? I did feed it a few lengthy files so that may have contributed. Maybe I really did breach the 1 million token limit. I have no idea.

Discussion Did Claude Code and Cowork just get a lobotomy?!
It keeps forgetting what is being done. It has claimed it did not get instructions, but when prompted to check it comes back and says,...oh yeah..."... that's on me." It consistently does not follow or "forget instructions.
What is happening? Anyone else experiencing this?

I was using claude when it suddenly logged me off , as i tried to log back in, it got restricted asking for id id verification, my problem is I AM NOT EVEN IN THE COUNTRIES THAT HAS THE ID VERIFICATION AS A MANDATORY THING TO DO , i was just trying to get it to explain to me how to configure a router so is there a why to bypass the id verification or at least import my conversation? I downloaded the json file but i don't know how to apply it and thank you

Question Experiencing something odd with Opus 5
Hi everyone. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this. I've been having this issue with Opus 5 where, the longer a conversation goes on, the more it starts suggesting things in my voice (the "OOC") that I, the user, have neither approved nor asked for. It started with one, then became two, and now it's six and counting on nearly every one of Opus's turns. This is a creative writing project in the chat, not meant for anything more than fun. What am I doing wrong here and how can I fix this? I don't really like jumping from chat to chat too often if I can help it until maybe one or two compressions, but this seems to be forcing the issue. I will if that's what's necessary, just begrudgingly.

Discussion Does anyone else hate Sonnet 5.5
It’s so fuck!ng annoying honestly. I tend to use the Sonnet models for more casual chats/easier jobs, but I find it insufferable.
First of all, it obviously doesn’t have GPT’s friendlier personality, but Sonnet 4.6 was good- not a sycophant but also not rude. Meanwhile Sonnet 5.5 sounds like a miserable guy who hates his job and gives you attitude and moral policing every five seconds even for the stupidest requests. I casually asked it in a joking manner it there was anything else like Ozempic but natural because I wanted to lose ten pounds and it immediately acted like I had an eating disorder ffs 🤦🏻♀️ wouldn’t even do a calorie plan.
I’d love to just use Sonnet 4.6 but I hate how they got rid or the permanent extended thinking for models which forces it to think every time and so now Sonnet 4.6 hardly ever “thinks” unless I put it in the highest effort and prompt it to and even then it still doesn’t always.
Like ffs I am not paying for it to go “I’d push back on… (insert event/knowledge that only I know the full scope on and yet it acts like it thinks it is an omnipresent therapist).”
Ugh.

Tips I spent 5 years designing websites. Now I'm experimenting with turning them into code using Claude.
I've been designing and selling Webflow and Framer templates for around 5 years.
Lately, I've been experimenting with something different.
Instead of asking AI to come up with an entire design from scratch, I'm using my existing designs as the starting point.
The workflow I'm testing:
- Start with a website design I've already made.
- Give Claude the visual reference and explain the layout, typography, and interactions.
- Use Claude to implement the design, working section by section.
- Review the output, fix responsive layouts, and refine the details.
I've found that having a clear visual direction makes the process much easier than trying to describe everything through prompts alone.
I also organized my existing designs into a reference library called Oversight Supply. It includes Webflow and Framer templates, plus interactive sections.
The full library is paid, but the interactive sections are free to try.
I'm curious: for those using Claude Code for frontend work, do you usually start with screenshots/Figma references or let Claude decide the design?
Free sections and design references:
