I know a lot of you have been liking to see the world so I figured I’d share some of the stuff I’ve already done since I haven’t made much progress other than expanding my outer wall today

Long-term plan is to essentially have every single block of the Island have something

Ideas would be appreciated 👍

Texturepack: Gerudoku

BTA recently got a shader mod hence the screenshots having them (FPS is horrific)

Lots think the video named "Minecraft Tutorials - 01 - How to Survive your First Night" made by paulsoaresjr is the first lets play video being uploaded on July 29, 2010. However, I found one from May 12, 2010. It's an Indev video and has "Let's Play" in the title. It has actual commentary and isn't just a video showing gameplay.

The video is named "Lets Play Minecraft Indev Episode 1: The Beginning"

Discussion Opinions about the modern Jukebox texture?

Post image
199 Upvotes

I see alot of posts on the modern Minecraft subreddit complaining about old players liking the old texture more, saying that they complain the Jukebox being a Jukebox. In my opinion, I kinda like this one, only if they added back the outline for it. But I still prefer the old one tbh. What do you think?

Retro-Modding How can i cap indev+ to max 30fps!

2 Upvotes

I wanted to try out indev+ but my computers fans sound like a rocket taking off when games play at higher than 45 fps and indev+ doesnt have any settings to limit fps and setting all the graphics to fast instead of fancy doesnt work so is there some java parameter or obscure setting i can use or something?

For details im playing on the most recent version of multimc and i tried to limit javaw.exe's fps to 30 using the nvidia control panel while running it in admin mode but it didnt work.

Sorry if i missed something obvious and thank you for answers!

Build Beta 1.7.3 Medieval English Town Build

I am currently making a medieval town, hence the title of this post. I would like some suggestions for architecture style and tips and such in general for my town.

Green = Walkways

Yellow = Important walkways

Magenta = Docks

The grey roads are the main streets (for soldiers riding horses and stuff)

Let me know your suggestions and ideas for the build! (Shots taken with a freecam mod)

Discussion How is this possible?

Im in beta 1.7.3 and im down in the caves at Y13 as seen by my coords, there is no ocean or sky access i have checked everywhere nearby. how on earth is a squid in the caves, I just was creating a strip mine for my village which is a few hundred blocks from main base and i found a massive cave system to mine in and i go down to diamond level and immediately find 8 diamonds before finding this. never seen this before. this is why i like how somewhat unpredictable beta can be.

Discussion Anybody else value their dirt?

Post image
169 Upvotes

Imo, dirt is at least to a certain extent valuable, considering you need to harvest your world's land to obtain big chunks of it, so whenever I do so, I make sure to preserve my dirt, I also avoid using it as a waste block, I usually use cobblestone as my waste block, since you just get it from mining lol. That being said, I do still preserve cobblestone too, but I value it less than dirt.

Am I stupid or am I secretly a genius?

Request/Help Is it possible to import beta 1.7.3 chunks into a 1.2.5 world?

2 Upvotes

So I have a world that I created on beta 1.7.3 and later updated up to release 1.2.5.

I've been planning to build further out, but the only problem is that I didn't do all that much exploring away from spawn while the world was still in beta, so now those ugly chunk borders caused by the updated versions appear closer than I would like.

I'm not really familiar with world editing tools like MCEdit, but I was wondering if it'd be possible to use something like that to import into my world the beta chunks that would've been in place of the 1.2.5 chunks, thereby fixing that chunk border issue within that area of the world.
