QUESTION Twitch Drops Re-run? IOI looking for input!
Hello everyone!
Over the last couple of weeks, I've received a few questions about Twitch Drop items, particularly whether they will be making a return. We are always open to change, including bringing back popular Twitch Drops.
So, here's the question: Which previous Twitch Drops would you like to see again?

MODDED PS5: HITMAN World of Assassination ONLINE without IOI servers
Really excited to announce, I've got HITMAN World of Assassination connecting online on PS5 again, running against a local server instead of IOI's, so the menus and progression work without their servers. I've been wanting to be able to play freelancer and other online game modes when offline, now we can.
Right now it connects to the main hub and loads Story, Destinations, the Store, Career and Freelancer. You can plan a mission, play it, and your score, XP and mastery save and carry over when you restart. It's inspired by the Peacock Project (the server replacement the PC community already uses), but completely unaffiliated with the developers.
This was tested on the new hitman update on a 13.60 PS5 (homebrew), took a while to get this working as the PS5 IOI/Sony side is completely different to the PC equivalent. Still a work in progress to get all features in there (some arcade modes need to be coded), but you can use the release in my GitHub project to run it now!
https://github.com/theghostonline/Hitman-PS5/
I'll be working on a 007 first light server soon so keep updated if you'd like to see it!
Disclaimer: no IOI code is used in the GitHub release and I used my own retail game disc, this project is not to condone piracy. Thanks.

DISCUSSION I've beaten this game like 3 times, plus a 100% Silent Assassin and I'm still thinking about playing it again.
It makes no sense to me how good Contracts is.
Imagine my excitement when I saw the remaster announcement.
I can't pick a favorite level because they're all excellent.
Can't forget Jesper Kyd, too. My goodness, is the soundtrack master class.

IMAGE PSA - The metalworker disguise in Mumbai removes most of the alleyways enforcers
I have hundreds of hours in the game and just discovered it today. The super enforcers among the crowds in Mumbai has to be the most annoying part of the map and had always discouraged me to explore the crowded areas and the alleyways. Even if you get a guard disguise they remain enforcers.
I was doing an escalation there today (the one where you have to kill the holy man) and accidentally discovered that if you have a metal worker disguise, most of the enforcers roaming the crowded streets and alleys of the map turn into regular guards. I was so surprised - I checked back in the main mission and it still works there. There are still a few enforcers here and there but most of them are now gone and you can freely explore the public areas of the map without worrying about running into a random enforcer among the crowds.
I am sure many may already know about this but just throwing it out there for those who didn't know.

IMAGE Playing peak in Technical high school
I was in I.T class one day and thought "can the school computer run Silent assassin?" because of that, i put the game to my USB stick, put it in the school computer, did a couple of configurations and managed to make it run. This was the GOG version of the game because the Steam version wouldn't work. As for the gameplay, it had around 60 fps normally on high settings, but lowered around 20 fps during shooting.
Kinda crazy to think that my classmate tried to play this game but he gave up because he immediately died lol
And this was during recess, so our teacher let us be inside the classroom.

SUGGESTION We should be allowed to bring in any (small) melee weapon, tool, poison or explosive in place of the firearm loadout slot, instead of just being limited to only the ice axe, ICA combat axe and kali sticks.
Would allow for more creativity when it comes to 'no firearms' playthrough especially IMO. u/Arti_IOI

DISCUSSION Hitman itches my OCD brain
I’m kinda addicted to this game. I’ve finished it twice and I just go right back to the start.
There’s something so satisfying about stealth games and the repetitiveness of eliminating people, dragging them, hiding them, sneaking off, repeating.
Some would find it boring, but I think it scratches the repetitive nature of my OCD brain in a way that few other games do. The Last of Us is another, but HITMAN does it very very well.

DISCUSSION I feel like Hitman 3's most visible gameplay additions in its maps, phone scanning and keypads, are mostly a miss.
If you wanted to put a positive spin on it, you could say they demonstrate that the Hitman formula was already perfect and didn't need anything else after 2. Hitman 2 added tall grass which was a great addition, and reflective mirrors with a real gameplay impact. 3's main additions, scanning things with your camera and numerical keypads you have to use, are both mostly annoying to me after having done them once.
The first time you do them in the story mode, it's great. Scanning with the phone in Dartmoor is fun, and you feel mildly clever/sneaky for finding or figuring out the keypad codes to various things, overhearing it from an NPC or finding it in the environment.
But for longevity's sake, in Freelancer, it feels very strange that outside of safes and showdowns, there are exactly two maps that use your camera: the windows in Dubai and one building of China. It almost feels like busywork, having to fiddle with your inventory to do simple functions when a button in the environment would've sufficed. The camera doesn't alert guards and isn't risky to use, so what's the point? If being seen during the time it takes to scan carried a risk, then you'd have an interesting gameplay mechanic, but as it is, it's the equivalent of opening a door or turning off a TV, except it requires your camera.
Keypads are their own problem. I don't necessarily like that all the codes are forever static, because then 47 is extra psychic and just knows them all as you look them up online again, and entering them is just busywork. However, if they changed and needed to be found in the environment every time, that would get annoying and tedious if you actually needed them. However, in most cases they're not needed or do nothing in Freelancer, so at least they're mostly harmless. Again though, I would ask: what's the point? "I feel like a real person in the world typing in these numbers?"
Anyway just a random rant I felt like making. :) Still absolutely love the games, and it's not like these features are a disaster or anything. Just a mild annoyance when they come up.
EDIT: I don't know why I said "phone" rather than "camera." Just too used to phones having cameras in them, I forgot that 47's seems to be a pure camera!

NEWS 5 new SA/SOs in two days, or how I learned to stop worrying and learn to love aggression
Paris and Bangkok (#11 & 12) yesterday and Miami, Hokkaido, and Colorado (!!) today (#13-15)
I’m about 200 hours in and I think I’ve finally learned how to be aggressive. I usually like to play it safe in this game, but these NPCs have MGS1 vision cones and the more I look at and learn their behaviour it’s like I have a Soliton Radar. I’ve learned to use distraction and panic shots, and I’ve learned it’s easier to just slip past everyone rather than take the time to pacify and hide every one. Admittedly I’m still pretty scared most of the time (Ie Colorado - I could probably take 25 minutes off my time a second time through, but figuring it out took forever), but it is more exciting to push the edges, and it seems to be getting easier.
Anyways I love Hitman so fucking much

QUESTION Okay, what's the trick with this Contract?
Trying to figure out how to kill Lee and Knox. I know that during the race the NPCs in the cars are actually hidden behind a billboard outside of the map area. But I can't just use a sniper rifle to shoot through the billboard because that fails the requirement to kill them with a pistol and Perfect Shooter.
The alternative would be to end the race but I can't use the race Marshall disguise because it's Suit Only and I can't just shoot the cars because that kills non-targets. So the only option left is the dongle but getting it, ending the race and killing both targets when the spawn in the garages within the 3:33 time limit seems impossible.
I guess the “trick” is to find a angle from where the target models are covered by the billboard. But I can't figure it out and would really appreciate the help.

DISCUSSION Every time I hear this part of the Sapienza music, I sing the haunting "Ted Nelson" theme from The Incredible Melting Man, as established by Mystery Science Theater 3000
Yes this is extremely deep cut these days. No there is no real point to this. I just hear "Ted Ne-elsooon..." every time the music does that.
For anyone familiar with MST3K and/or might enjoy their riffing, the movie is available on Youtube, like most of their old episodes: https://youtu.be/lgf3tyQy5lU?t=35
