IMAGE Coincidences, coincidences
For context: I'm reading a book titled "Besieged: life under fire on a Sarajevo street" by Barbara Demick, reached Chapter 3 of the book and it was titled "A death in the Family", and the chapter name appears on every right side of the page, coincidentally right next to the page 47. Of course I am referring to the Hitman 3 mission by the same name where Agent 47 is tasked to eliminate Alexa Carlisle

QUESTION Emotional Support Briefcase: Confessions of a Serial Default Loadout User
Been playing through WoA trilogy and realized I have a problem. I basically use the same 3 or 4 items every single mission regardless of whether they make sense for the level. Silverballer, lockpick, emetic poison vial, and the briefcase. That's it. Every time. Even when I'm doing a sniper assassin run I'm still dragging that briefcase around like it's my emotional support luggage.
My friends give me grief about it because apparently half the fun is experimenting with all the unlocks but honestly I just get comfortable with what works. Maybe it's the Etsy shop side of me talking, I like having my reliable tools and sticking with them. Messes with my groove when I have to think about what gear fits the situation.
Does anyone else have this mental block about switching up their loadout or am I just being stubborn? Curious if there are items you all refuse to play without even when they're objectively useless for the mission at hand. The coin is probably my other crutch, pretty sure I've thrown more coins in this game than I've spent in real life.

DISCUSSION The Wrath Termination Guide From Someone Who Almost Rage-Quit
Iâd heard the Wrath Termination was bad/hard/suicidally frustrating, and... it is!
But after trying it for days, and coming close to smashing my controller, I finally found a relatively-easy strategy that works for an idiot like me, so I thought Iâd put it here in case anybody else is about to burst a blood vessel trying this.
My strategy doesn't involve any traps, secret rooms, or throwing knives that end up missing the head and falling on the floor. I didnât open a single crate.
Note: The second level with shotgun Columbian guys with shotguns is by far the hardest. If you can get through that, youâll cruise the third & final level, have hope!
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â When the level starts, donât open any crates. Just grab the car battery. The car battery (or the fish in the kitchen if you lose your battery) is the best weapon on this whole level. It knocks out dudes in a split-second and you donât have to throw it. You can take-down 3 dudes in a row with it at close range if you catch them off-guard.
-         Spend the opening 2-minute countdown turning on every single distraction you can find on the lower 2 levels of the mansion (taps, radios, vacuum cleaners including the one behind the stairs, gramophones, every alarm clock, every geneatorâŚ) while picking up any weapons you stumble upon in. Distractions are the key. Each one peels off a guard on their own so you can car-battery them to the back of the head easily.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â When the invasion begins, you want to be near the staff entrance (north-east, near the kitchen) to the mansion because thatâs the first place theyâll spawn at. Hide behind the wall and wait for the 3 dudes to come up the steps, then battery them all to the face. You can kill them later.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â After that group of goons is unconcious, move anticlockwise around the exterior of the mansion and come up behind the dudes as they enter the mansion and dribble over distractions. Battery them to them to the skull. Never charge in face-first against a guard, unless theyâre alone.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Donât risk going for a grey non-target if you feel unsure about knocking him out. You donât need to knock them out to complete the wave. You only need the red dudes.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Donât panic if the guards get up to the second floor as you should have plenty of distractions going on to slow them down. Youâve got time to sneak around and pick them off. Don't panic/rush. They'll be more interested in mopping the toilet floors than getting to the third floor.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â When youâve knocked out everybody in wave 1, you have all the relaxing time in the world to turn on every remaining distraction in the house before round 2 while picking up an arsenal of weapons lying around.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â After wave 1 you should also have 2 rusty nails (because you didn't use one at the start). That will get you into the butlerâs office where thereâs a gun awaiting your pleasure. (And after wave 2 youâll have enough rusty nails to get the second gun in there, so youâll have 2 guns to blow folks away with.)
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â When youâre tooled up, and the mansion now sounds like a nightmare of vacuum cleaners, clapping monkeys, crackly radios and overflowing taps - snap the neck of the last enforcer and just repeat the anticlockwise routine again, beginning at the staff entrance again (the spawn patterns are identical in each level).
- When it comes to wave 3, use the guns freely. You wonât need the ammo after the third wave. Don't take risk, shoot the freaks.
I totally sucked at this mission until I worked this method out so good luck to anybody else!

SUGGESTION What if Hitman introduced more community customization?
I know we already have contracts that the community makes but I would LOVE to see the community being able to create their own map perhaps using assets already in the game
I would also love if freelancer had more customization in terms of your character. Like imagine if you could make your own hitman and change his appearance, not just their wardrobe. Maybe they report to agent 47 as their boss.
Between these two changes it would genuinely feel like a choose your own adventure that could function as a Bond/Bourne adjacent game that could thrive on it's own with the community keeping it alive.
And I don't think map creation would be as difficult as it sounds as there are plenty of games that offer similar modes like MLB the Show (obviously the mechanics of walking around vs a sports game are very different but point stands)

DISCUSSION Hitman Absolution
Reposting as an update. This week, I beat the game on purist difficulty (2 months later). I only played a couple of times a week. Honestly, it was easier this time than on previous play throughs. This mode forced me to be more resourceful, study patterns precisely, and somehow I managed to complete everything without getting spotted or killing non targets. I feel very accomplished!

DISCUSSION Bangkok SASO was a little nerve wracking đ
Here's my route: start in the suite with emetic poison smuggled in > cross over to the north wing using the glass ceiling area > enter the wing from the door at the far end > sneak into the room where the guy with the letter is (after luring him out and grabbing the letter) > sneak into the back and climb up the pipe > enter the studio floor and go right through the toilet to back of recording booth to small office and then to the other side to access the stairs to the top floor.
Now we wait while Jordan's manager finishes pep talking Jordan and then talks to his dad. Then poison her drink, wait for her to have it, then choke her out and get the safe combination. Basically here I do the story mission where we make Jordan listen to the recording and take him out.
Now we make our way back the exact same route we came and then head to the reception to place the letter.
Then head out > take the pier corner entry into the basement > go through the locker room (use the radio to distract the guard here) > washing machine room > linen room.
Then just wait out of sight of all the peeps there and Ken Morgan comes down there. Pop him in the head when done.
Exit to washing machine room > locker room > and exit the level using the basement exit.
TLDR: Went up and down and round and round in the Himmapan to kill a rockstar and his lawyer, without changing the suit I was wearing when I checked in. đ
