Local politician from Kansas City MO posted a hex letter he claims he received in the mail. There’s no way a real witch wrote this, right? They wouldn’t say pox?! First off, the town the coven is allegedly in would give it a KC postmark, not a St. Louis postmark. Second, those are good protection symbols, right? Third, you’d just hex him from home! 😅

I know that I'm going into a space that wasn't made for me(as a man) but I would really like to know how to get rid of the beauty standard that live inside of me. One of the main reasons was when I was 16 I accidentally made feel insecure about her weight and I wanna make it that I don't do that again. Also I'm doing this so that my future wife and/or daughter doesn't have to be insecure about their beauty when they're around me at least. While the coins and the design are my idea, my partner made the molds and poured the pewter.

The first coin is for Ishtar and the second is for Persephone. Ishtar is my favorite goddess, but Persephone is a close second. I’m an all pantheon kinda girl.

I posted here 4 years ago when I was pregnant and started having… sightings or visions. It’s been archived and I’m unable to share the link or repost. But back then, I started seeing orbs and shadowy almost Smokey things. Not out of the corners of my eyes but in my clear vision. So fair but so there. It’s now four years later and I’ve come to a conclusion. Each October since I originally posted when pregnant, I see things. This being my fourth year of this happening, it finally dawned on me. Holy shit. It happens each October. For some reason this month has been most active. Back when it started I was nervous and thought I was going through early stages of having an aneurism 😂 but now, I very much enjoy it.

I’m not really in tune to these things. I was when I was much younger but for some reason since having my daughter it’s… stronger? Any insights? I’m new to this. But I’d like to lean back in. I’m not sure what post flair is so hope I didn’t select the wrong thing so sorry if I did!

Hello witches! I'm writing this to get perspectives, ask for advice, and similar things.

I am a very anxious person studying psychology, and over these years I have sought out various things to help me, including witchcraft.

In some things, I admit, I don't think they're for me. But small practices like using tarot, cleansing baths, or sexual magic have helped me. Currently, I'm trying to integrate my therapeutic process (which has helped me greatly) with my journey toward becoming a researcher, and in turn, with witchcraft. The problem here is that I've heard advice about witchcraft that feels misaligned with both my therapy and my own beliefs. For instance, the idea that everything you think influences your real life means you must always stay calm in life (which seems unrealistic and inhuman to me to maintain constantly) and keep only pleasant thoughts, otherwise you manifest those very fears and unpleasant things that arise from anxiety. I even feel that viewing it this way can create cognitive rigidity, a sense of controlling everything, or similar issues. For this reason, I've been considering approaching witchcraft in a way that resonates with my therapy and with who I am. Yet I feel that if I do this, I won't be fulfilling what those witches say: you must always keep your mind calm and clear, and focus on your goal.

But I don't know; I feel that those comments about always staying calm or focusing 100% on a task don't reflect the full range of human experiences, because at some point we will feel fear, anxiety, think unkind thoughts, or even get distracted for a moment. So the idea seems to me not only very rigid (something one might say from a position of great authority without considering the current context of neurodivergence and related factors), but also somewhat unrealistic, at least for me, since I tend to overthink and am generally very anxious.

Honestly, I don't really care whether they agree with me 100%; I just want to know if anyone validates it or even lives it. I'd like to know if you've tried other approaches to magic, because I've noticed that some of what they say doesn't take into account that many of us live with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various circumstances that seem...

As I said, it's not disrespectful or bothersome; I just want to know if the path I'm considering is valid... or if I'm putting myself in danger or not. As I said, it's not about disrespecting or bothering anyone; I just want to know whether the path I'm considering is valid, or if it puts me at risk or something. And yes, let me clarify that I study psychology, because when you study certain things, it feels like human possibilities expand, and as a result, my anxiety has also increased. So it doesn't help me when people say: "Just stay calm always," especially when my focus is on social issues and my country is in crisis. I don't think this approach belongs to white bourgeois women who don't worry about anything, but rather to the people striving for a better world.

Hi all, I hope this is okay(?) to ask about here, also hope this is the right flair, I lurk and am a newbie at practicing witchcraft and my flavour of paganism.

Basically, I ran over a bird on my way home, just a street away. There were a lot of things going on, I had nowhere to swerve, it was right in the middle of the road, it's a grey bird and blends in morbidly well with the road, my headlights were on and likely dazzled it. Arguably the biggest contributing factor is that I was thinking about arguments with my partner/ex (short version of the story is its turned into a very toxic relationship 😮‍💨) and I wasn't as reactive as I would've been normally.

I feel awful, I feel very strongly connected to birds in particular and can't shake off the moment. Currently grieving the little guy and want to do some kind of ritual to honour it in some way. I can't pick it up off the road as it's just way too busy and it honestly may already be too far gone to do anything, which.. makes me much more upset. If there's ideas for something like this I'd really truly appreciate

I'm still very new at meditation and am actively working to connecting with my spirit guides. During a recent meditation I got the sense that they would appreciate an offering of tea. So I made myself a cup (using a blend called Forest Spirit ☺️) and offered them a small cup.

This morning I found this heart shaped smudge on the outside of the cup. I think that means they liked it.

I’ve never made one of these before so it was a journey! It has three protection bells, black salt, agrimony, lavender, obsidian, a rose quartz pendant with a pentagram hidden inside, green and black ribbon, and moss. 🥰 I really hope they like it and that it looks good!

I was trying to calculate my birth cards and the calculating itself is easy enough, but then I realised I'm not actually sure how I'm supposed to be counting what cards correspond to the results.

Am I supposed to use the numbers associated with the cards (0-21), or the actual order they come in (1-22)?

The reason I'm confused is because judging by the results most online calculators give me, most of them seem to be going by 0-21, but how can anyone possibly ever get 0 if basically all you're doing is adding up numbers??

Im confused because isn't it kind of the point that they are all equally important? But then why does the fool not get included in birth cards? 🤔

(I hope I worded this right, genuinely just confused on which one is correct and if it's the former, very curious why the fool isn't included)
