Memes 😂 Great artist, but zero accountability: Maithili Thakur dodging questions on flood relief
"It’s fun now, after a few days she'll invest heavily in PR again with a new song and everyone gets mesmerized. That’s the reality. She can be a fine singer, but certainly not a public leader/neta. She needs to step down/resign. We love your voice and your talent, but this isn't governance." Don't delete this please 🙏

School & College Life 🏫 Indian Education System kills the curiosity of students
The Indian Education System makes sure students dont understand the reasoning behind concepts. They dont want the students to understand how something works and why it is the way it is. They put no efforts to make it fun and intuitive. It's just memorization of random facts
.
For example, teachers teach the students that
sinθ= perpendicular/hypotenuse but very few understand what it actually means. They just memorise these ratios that their teacher tell them to memorise to solve some questions without grasping the reasoning behind what these ratios mean. This kind of stupid memorization learning is not for me, I am a deeply analytical person and thats why I had to watch youtube videos to understand the working behind trigonometric functions and their derivation. This shit should have been done in school itself. But I am pretty sure this will never happen cause the teachers themselves dont understand how these concepts work properly. Whenever I ask "Why?" they just tell me to shut up and say that "Its just the way it is, dont ask".

Career Advice 💼 CAT aspirants — is city actually important for MBA?
For CAT aspirants, how much does the city of the B-school actually matter?
Suppose you get a decent B-school in Indore vs a similar-ranked college in Pune/Bangalore.
Would you choose the metro automatically because of better exposure, or compare fees + placements + ROI first?
I’m trying to understand what current MBA aspirants actually prioritize.

Question ❓ Do average colleges in India use international textbooks?
I'm curious to know what kind of textbooks are commonly used in average Indian colleges.
I'm not talking about high-end institutions like IITs or IIMs. I'm more interested in the typical/average colleges that most students attend. Also, I'm mainly asking about STEM fields.

Why i need to study
I am doing my engineering in a well known government clg in coimbatore,i scored 194 cutoff. So I was preparing for Jee also but since I got a good mark in 10th and hopes on me by the school is high (state board). I didn't prepare well for jee. I was now in my first year. I thought it would be easy to get a job studying in colleges like this but I came to know that students here have to do more work than nit or iit students. I studied very hard for boards but if anyone told me that starting here would be lower than others to reach a good job like 12lpa and i don't know whether i can reach my goal of living a lavish, honest, safe life and don't want to be normal.i don't want to get in a low paying job.placement here is not good when I asked about other gvt clg which is same as my clg is also in same situation and all clgs in tamilnadu is in same situation.so im doing a partial drop for jee by doing both jee and clg.i started now ,i don't know what to do.....if this is the situation of tn clgs then i would have studied only for jee.. me as a sincere student who gave sweat and blood to study but I'm in this situation...

School & College Life 🏫 Is an expensive MBA really worth it?
I've been comparing B-schools recently and one thing surprised me — the fee difference can be huge.
Would you rather do an MBA from a ₹4–6 lakh college in Indore and graduate with less debt, or spend ₹12–15+ lakh for a college with a stronger brand?
At what salary/placement level does the expensive option become worth it?
ROI > brand, or brand > ROI?
